“Park nestled between living areas. Very quaint. Great views of some of the high-rises. Nice little fountain area towards the end, where you can sit and relax. If you have an aviation bug, look up, plenty of planes overhead, line up for final approach. We always visit when strolling through downtown.”

“Quality golf course. Cool design, weaves around the Pamlico Sound and the Nags Head Village. Always in great shape maintenance wise. A bit pricey but to expected on an island. When playing this course, keep in mind that it is a position golf course. Play the angles, hit the greens, and stay out of trouble. The fairways are narrow and offer little forgiveness! Bombing and gouging will not work on this course unless you want to lose a dozen balls. Play smart golf, as the course is not overly long, and you will thoroughly enjoy the challenge.”

“Very Nice moderate hike to the most spectacular view at top. 3.3 miles up and back. Stay on trail there is a lot of shortcuts. Bring bug spray, spray before there are European yellow flies. They got me don’t let them get you!!!”

“played here on 29 April, 2023. never played here before but the course was in great shape! it's really short (5700, 5350, 5000 yds from the 3 tees) crossing the road is no joke on holes 2 and 7. it's a whacky layout imo but it works. overall I would play here again. EDIT played back nine; the back nine's layout is a little goofier and compact. No star change”

“For a city (county) course it's well maintained and the green fees are great. They just got a new fleet of electric carts too. My only beef is they don't seem to pick up leaves, just mow them. I lost a couple of balls in leaf piles. That was sad.”

“We love working with the Armfield Civic & Rec Center! The staff are very positive and encourage any ideas that benefit the community. We have been able to set up storywalks and poetry displays in the park. And last month we had a pool party for the participants of the summer library programs!”
