“My 83 years old mother-in-law has been living in Union Plaza for almost 5 years. Our family are very happy with the services has been provided to her. Union Plaza has very good staffs: Nurses, nutritionist, assistant nurses, care assistants, administrative staff and other professionals all of them are very trained. They have been provided exceptional care and services to the seniors. I am giving 5 stars review to the Union Plaza. I think Union Plaza is one of the best senior care in Flushing. I am highly recommended to anyone.”

“Good therapists, but they charge a crazy price. They initially said I would only have to pay 50 dollars each session, which I paid each time. I finished the rehab sessions and received a bill for about 1000 $. I called them up and they said 50 was only an estimation. Had I known would have gone someplace else”

I needed services immediately and the coordinator Maria who is very professional along with the others coordinators, came through at the last minute. All services I received so far from their office/ HHAs , has been excellent. My advice to all that requires their services, "Treat everyone with respect. The way you would like to be treated. “My review about the Phoenix: in the three months I have been here I have been very happy with the quality of the general services I have received since day one. The staff has been responsive, attentive, and proficient with my requests. Specifically, the nurses and their assistants. The maintenance and housekeeping staff as well do an excellent job as well as John, the dietitian here. My criticism would have to be that, even though the occupational and physical therapists have been extremely polite and skilled, the access to the gym has been limited. Additionally, I have not received all of the medical records that I have continuously requested. Overall, I am very pleased and grateful for the quality of care at Phoenix and wish to see more openness from the administration in respect to the suggestions and collaboration with the residents. For such a large building as the Phoenix I yet again state my satisfaction with how the facility is run and maintained. I would like to emphasize as an elder the workload upon the nursing staff is tremendous. Somehow, the quality of care they personally need to render the services they do should be rewarded much more than I witness as per the brunt and workload on them. I've witnessed perhaps 4 shifts around the 24 hour clock and how these nurses do the work they perform is nothing short of phenomenal. I would surely like to hear if there would be some way to hear the nurses' unbiased review on what would make their job better. Finally, let me thank almighty God for Phoenix and whatever it is that allows this facility to operate on this level that I have witnessed. AMEN!”

“My 9 year old daughter and myself have been coming to Sunrise Counseling for 6 months. Kamilah has worked with my daughter on social anxiety, ADHD and coping skills. She is Amazing. She has helped giving my daughter the confidence to advocate for herself without being overwhelmed. I see Nicole Ligorio who is helping me with Anxiety. She has helped me so much with getting through daily tasks without being overwhelmed. The Staff is so friendly, especially Derve who greets us at the reception desk. The director Richard Scheinberg has been so helpful with finding the right fit for our needs. I highly recommend Sunrise Counseling.”

“I was admitted in 2021 around February after my below the knee amputation on my right leg. This facility truly cares about its patients. I want to give a special shoutout to Paul Dong, Joe and Robert for getting me back on my feet. They truly are passionate about their job. Clean, safe and I was out in 3 weeks doing everything I was taught until I received my prosthetic leg later on that year. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.”
