“Really we loved this ancient subramanya swamy temple. Massive praharam as well the moolagraha. Main deity subramanya idol is almost 6 ft Height but placed on elevated steps, so if you want to worship from outside, you have to bend or almost kneel down to see the idol. Yesterday was aarattu festival for the god and we were blessed to see the good taking holy bath. Temple timings are between 5 to 12 noon and 5 to 8 pm. You love the peace and serenity when the temple is not crowded. Temple is very near to Haripad railway station.”

“After visiting the temple, I was fortunate to experience one of the best moments of inner peace. The temple is renowned for providing a tranquil and spiritually uplifting environment that truly fosters a sense of inner contentment. Additionally, it holds historical significance as it is known for its association with the Kumaun Regiment, In ancient times, when the soldiers of the Kumaun Regiment faced adversity, they fervently invoked Maa Kalika for assistance. It is believed that Maa Kalika, showcasing her divine powers, ensured the safety and protection of the army soldiers, establishing a profound and enduring connection between the regiment and the temple.”

“Nestled amidst the lofty peaks of the Himalayas, this temple is not just a physical destination but a realm where the divine and the earthly converge in harmonious resonance. As I embarked on the route leading to Dunagiri, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The path meanders through awe-inspiring landscapes, revealing panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks, meandering rivers, and verdant valleys. Every twist and turn seemed orchestrated by a higher force, guiding travelers toward a spiritual encounter beyond the ordinary. The journey itself became a meditative practice, allowing me to connect with nature's grandeur and contemplate the profound teachings of the Himalayas. The tranquil surroundings and the symphony of nature's melodies served as a backdrop for introspection and inner reflection. Upon reaching Dunagiri Temple, the very air seemed to vibrate with divine energy. The temple's architecture is an exquisite testament to the devotion of those who have revered this place for centuries. The intricate carvings and sacred symbols seemed to speak a language of their own, invoking a sense of reverence and humility. Inside the temple, the atmosphere was thick with spiritual energy. The chants of the priests resonated through the sanctum, creating a sacred ambiance that transcended time. It was as if the walls held the echoes of countless prayers offered by devotees seeking solace and enlightenment. The journey to Dunagiri Temple isn't just a physical voyage; it's a spiritual odyssey. It's a pilgrimage that invites you to shed the burdens of everyday life and immerse yourself in the divine embrace of the Himalayas. “Ghorakhal Golu Devta is also known as Ghanti wala Mandir or The god of justice or The Temple of Wishes. The temple is beautifully situated on the top of Ghorakhal Hill near Sainik School, Ghorakhal. This temple is located about 15 km from the Mall, Nainital. The entry to the temple is free and one has to climb stairs (moderate) to reach the temple. The temple is decorated with thousands of bells and prayers written on plain papers, legal bond papers, beautiful colourful sheets, job application forms. At this place, the devotees not only come with prayers but with physical piece of paper on which wishes are written by the worshipers. On completion of wishes worshipers tie bells in the temple. Highly recommended visiting this place if visiting Nainital or Bhimtal.”
