73 Kashimacho Sadamiyauchi, Matsue, Shimane 690-0331, Japan

“I was stunned by the splendor of this shrine, which has three taisha-style main shrines lined up in a row, which is rare in Japan. There are 12 pillars enshrined in the main hall, north hall, and south hall, including the four secret pillars. The torii gate can be seen right from the road, and there is a parking lot on the right side of the gate, so access is convenient. It's not far from the center of Matsue city or Matsue Castle, so it's worth a trip. I received a stamp stamped with Izumo Ninomiya, but you can also get stamps from the Izumo Shinto and Buddhist Sacred Sites and those from Tanaka Shrine, which is a affiliated shrine.”

The choir here is wonderful and the bookstore/icon shop has a good selection of both souvenirs and holy items. It all began when the Great Shogun Hall was built to protect the northwestern part of the capital when the capital was moved to Heiankyo. Even today, he is famous as a god that protects against evil spirits. In addition, in front of the main hall, there is a stone pillar representing a pentagram and an octagon that catches the eye. It is one of the Nishioji Seven Lucky Gods, and from January to February you can receive a red stamp on a colored paper. It is also located along the Ichijo-dori shopping street, and various monsters are placed in front of the store.”
