“In Erie for another work related trip.... God is good!! ... I've been having a "pity party" all weekend, depressed and was even worse this morning when I reminisced about unsuccessfully searching for a place of worship in Erie, PA when I was here last month. .....decided to not even try this trip, but go out to breakfast instead.... convinced in my IGNORANCE that God was not working in this community. Boy, was I wrong!!! On my way to pout over breakfast I was circling around the mall road and behold a huge full parking lot in front of a converted out-building now pumping out 4 services a weekend of evangelical non-denominational worship. ELEVATE was the name of the place, and that is what they did for my thoughts this weekend. They were specifically doing a call to Baptism each of the three Sunday services this week and that was the entire focus of worship this week ........and I was shamed, humbled and gave praise to God when no less than 40 people got baptized in the second service alone. God is at work in powerful ways all across this nation. ....don't believe the vocal minority, nor the discouragement the enemy might bring. God is Good!!”
