“This place is so peaceful and blissful. I came here on Thanksgiving day, and it was not busy. It was super cold so we couldn't get to tour the place longer. I could easily stay here for hours, wondering around the temples and the grounds. But I was very pleased with what we were able to come across. The temple itself has an upstairs and downstairs, which is way bigger. There is a sign that says, "Yes, we are open!" I'm assuming it's opened any time of the day, even on holidays. Definitely plan to make another trip back here when it gets warmer.”

Un between the greed they had a decent message but it always came back to greed. Beautiful building. Talked about his vision more than God's vision.”

“Amazing Community center that always promotes peace and understanding. Very knowledgeable Imam whose teachings are always comprehensive and insightful. Spotless clean establishment and facilities. Ample of parking and prayer room. Overall tremendous complement and treasure to the city of Minnetonka and neighboring suburbs. Weekly Friday prayers and lectures that are streamed live via zoom and YouTube. For those who chose to attend the prayers, strict health guidelines and social distancing measures are followed. Namely, everyone is required to have their temperature taken, to wear a mask and to have their own prayer rug as well as stand 6 feet away from other worshipers. Prayer spots are clearly marked to make sure adherence to those measures.”

“I really enjoyed services—high energy and fun. I also loved volunteering at the Manna Market events. But after my experience, I would caution anyone who is interested in Substance Church. If you are looking for a church that would offer more of a personal and personable experience, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. When the time came for me to attempt to reach out to, and speak with a pastor concerning something, I was ghosted. I actually had to ask another friend to ask some people he knew that worked there. I finally got an email that read like this: “Thank you for reaching out to us. We are not able to provide ________. —Best” At that point, I decided that Substance definitely wasn’t for me. The lack of compassion, lack of any concern for me as an individual and my situation, and lack of care to even have a conversation with me—made the decision to look for a different church easy. When I found a different church, my first conversation with the head pastor on the first day that I attended, he gladly and compassionately offered what I needed (it truly wasn’t a big thing I was asking!). What a difference. I’m sorry that Substance turned out to be such a negative experience for me.”

The church was full with a great mix of people across all age groups. The services were well done and being a simple mass without music it finished in 45 minutes.”
