“A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous, quiet area. It is just by the Wapionka lake where you'll definitely find some quiet time away from the city. You can walk across the lake on a wooden foot bridge that leads to an area where you can have a campfire (not without the management's permission). There's a restaurant next door to the hotel where you can see a mill wheel which is still spinning. The locals are so friendly, one of then stopped for a chat with us and told us he could remember the times 50 years ago when the mill was in full operation and he knew the miller!”

“I had a chance to visit and live in this great place called " Willa Skałka". First and foremost, it is really good decision to build the Villa in this place. Secondly, exterior design is simple and cousy at the same time, rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Thirdly, food that was cooked is really tasty, there is huge variety of dishes. The most important is team : owners, administrator,whom I got familiar with, is awesome. Administrator is really sociable lady, who is ready to help you and answer on your questions. I had one chance to get familiar with owners, who are also kind, sociable people. Overall, atmosphere is very good. If you want to spend your holiday/vacation in quite place next to local nature, come to "Willa Skałka"!”

“We staid there over new years and had booked a package deal for two adults. The hotel is situated in a beautiful countryside and consists out of an old bit well refurbished house plus a wing with new and modern apartment like rooms. Our room was in the old part of the hotel. Pro: very cool scenery and good amenities such as a indoor pool, gym, sauna etc. Very aesthetic mix between modern renovated parts as well as historical elements of the building. Food was good. Package deal offered participating in buffets and one 5 course meal. Con: Cleanliness of some areas was sub-standard for a 5 star hotel. Sauna area, in particular showers were dirty. Pool area and changing rooms were also lacking of service (cleanliness of floors and furniture, also used towels). Maintenance: The hotel had been renovated at great expenses but maintenance is sub standard for a 5 star hotel. Ceiling shower in pool area not working. Dining room, floor windows broken and scratched. Some chairs also scratched with paint coming off. Spa area, radiators full of crumbling rust. Door sealing not functional to outside area. Service: Generally speaking the service was OK but for a 5 star hotel a bit sub standard. One would expect guests to more looked after by e.g. a more open communication. Ask if things are OK, or if anything is needed would be expected. A big no no is the free water. Please consider options for water such as sparkling water and replace old water in good time (the taste of water with lemons bathing in there for hours is a disgrace). Staff speaks not good English and only little German. Please focus on training team members on customer experience more and work on maintenance and cleanliness then a 5 star rating should be doable!”

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Platinum Apartments and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful hotel in a prime location. We had room k206 slightly far away from the reception but big plus was that area was really quiet and nearby from the center. Their Italian restaurant, Piatti, offered delicious meals that satisfied our taste buds. Also very nice approach to kids! One of the highlights of our stay was the special attention given to the children. The hotel had a plethora of features that catered to their needs and ensured they had a memorable time. The only minor drawback was that the multifunctional room lacked a bar or beverage options, but considering the overall experience, it did not overshadow the positive aspects. The service at Platinum Apartments was top-notch. The staff members were friendly and proactive, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I would like to specifically mention a blonde lady whose name I unfortunately forgot. She was instrumental in extending our reservation, which was initially booked through a third-party platform, for an extra night. Not only did she secure the same suite for us, but she also arranged for a late check-out to accommodate our schedule. Another staff member who deserves recognition is Sophia/Sofia. She assisted us with transportation services from Sklarzska Poruba to Prague and her professionalism and excellence were evident throughout the entire process. Overall, our stay at Platinum Apartments was nothing short of amazing. Our twins had a truly memorable experience, thanks to the thoughtful facilities and exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful location, great facilities, and outstanding service. “I had an interesting experience at Jelen Resort & Spa. I stayed for 2 nights from Monday to Wednesday. I was travelling with my sister and we had seperate rooms. We arrived at 2PM. There were quite a few problems during my stay. The balconies are very open there is no privacy at all! We were hungry but found out the resturant is closed on Mondays so we went to eat elsewhere. We came back and felt like going bowling or having a drink but that was also closed. It was raining outside so really there was nothing to do except to sit in our rooms. We then found out the Wifi wasnt working. We told the receptionist she was extremely rude. She said they would look into it. We also nicely suggested that the hotel should let guests know that everything is closed on Mondays and that we would have chosen a different day to stay. She was rude and said we should have checked their website. We asked to speak to the manager who also wasnt that friendly and said its not their responsibility but at least she said we could have a drink at the bar which was apparently closed but they let us have a drink as they were teaching their staff to make drinks. After we went to our rooms and still no Wifi. There were about 10 mosquitos in my room and like 5 spiders i know they can't control the mosquitos but they could at least get rid of the spiders as it looked like they had been there for a few days as there was quite a lot of cobwebs. They next day we spent the whole day there on the lake it was nice. We had dinner at the resturant the food was good. Everything was great on Tuesday. But then in the afternoon the Wifi was still not working so we complained again but again the receptionist was extremely rude and just didnt care! When we were checking out on Wednesday we mentioned the Wifi problem again. The manager left a voucher of very little value and only gave us one. I mentioned that we were in two seperate rooms so really we should receive 2 vouchers and that it didnt matter that it was my sister in the other room. The receptionist showed no emotion and was just super rude Ive never ever been talked to in the way that she talked to me. Horrible customer service. Seriously they should really train their receptionist staff. The staff are all super young probably their first job after finsihing school. Its not hard to be nice and show respect to your guests. I was very nice when expressing my concerns. It wasnt like i was complaining for no reason. If my reservation said there will be Wifi then Wifi should be provided. I will probably never come back to this hotel. I know its new but they really should value their guests especially when they have just opened. Overall the place is nice to relax but the people are just horrible especially the one girl at reception.”
