“We were regulars at this hotel for years. We loved especially the location. You feel you're on a ship at sea. The hotel was always rather old and traditional, slightly funky, but I liked that. The restaurant was excellent, the staff nice, and the breakfast spectacular: a huge buffet with eggs made to order, various cheeses, breads, fruits, juices, avocado, cold cuts, cereals. And delicious coffee, cappuccinos, etc. Now, as with other hotels after the pandemic, the hotel charges much more for the same room. I think there is a new owner. Most disappointing was the breakfast: sliced bread from the supermarket, a couple of slices of ham and cheese. And only instant Nescafe. The second day they brought eggs after we asked for them. The service isn't what it used to be either. Sad.”

“This hotel has the most wonderful location overlooking a lake and the mountains. It is full board all inclusive but it is very expensive. The guides were exceptionally good - 6 stars and the food and drink is always available. The bar staff and communal areas were very good and the drivers were top notch. The housekeeping staff were also very good. What let this place down was the food and service in the restaurant. The breakfast could have been more imaginative - maybe some smoked salmon and the choice of hot dishes is very poor. Service was very slow and we waited 10 minutes to get a coffee on a number of occasions, even though it wasn't particularly busy. The dinners were underwhelming. Nouvelle cuisine style but some of the dishes were uninspiring and not very tasty. The waiting staff was also a bit hit and miss. The spa had a sauna and steam room but the pool was really a lap pool - quite cold and very long and thin. I actually like this for swimming but I think most people would prefer a wider and warmer pool (possibly the reason why it was totally empty the two times I used it)”

“I came for a couple of days to stay at this hotel and I was quite disappointed, although the rooms and the place are nice, the maintenance and cleanliness is quite poor. It is very noticeable that the workers are not happy and that they also have a high turnover, since each one had different versions of the same issue. It has 3 restaurants where one serves until 10 for dinner, but you can't go to Santerra twice a day because they don't let you in... The truth is that personally I wouldn't go back.”
