“Unfortunately Aleenta is overpriced and not good enough for what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, so I'm not sure where all the great reviews are. If you are someone who is used to staying at international 5 star hotels then you will be utterly disappointed by Aleenta 'Phuket' (not in Phuket). Appearance and Design is a 1 star: The layout of the hotel is poor and there are so many design flaws that make getting around so frustrating. The whole hotel decor feels so tired and old, there is nothing charming or nice about it. If you are staying in a grand deluxe pool villa, then it is across the main road from the restaurant and beach. If you book a beach pool villa, you have zero privacy as people can look in. I stayed in the grand deluxe pool villa and it was small compared to similar priced hotels I stayed in real Phuket. There is no door to the bathroom, but unnecessarily a door to the small walk in wardrobe. There are so many mosquitos by the pool, even with the mosquito coils and sprays you can’t sit outside. There is no bath, and the shower temperature can’t be changed. They don’t clean the pool for you during the stay nor do they clean the floors. Because there’s no water bucket or outside shower, it is really easy to get sand everywhere. Food is a 2 star: I stayed for 3 nights, and on day 1 and 3 where I only ate at the hotel where the food was not good, I also had mild food poisoning. Their plant based restaurant is so overpriced, no wonder it is always empty! Our meal was below average, and we wanted to have a nice special meal so tried it despite not being plant based, it feels like they know they can be more successful if they offer a meat based menu but just dont want to. Other facilities is a 1 star: The boat trip I booked was horrible and overpriced - read the small print! The staff, although they were all nice, were also a bit clueless and struggled: the edge restaurant got our order wrong several times, there’s never any towels by the beach, no one cleans or collects things by the beach, and the activities on the beach look like a health and safety hazard so no one uses it. Overall, my biggest regret of 3 weeks in Southeast Asia was booking to stay here because the price and experience is not matched. I stayed 4 nights at a hotel in actual Phuket for a similar price - it didn't have direct beach access, but everything else about it was so much superior. Please consider carefully before booking!”

“It's my first time staying here, and JUST ONCE is enough! Unfriendly for Thai. My thing was lost here. The service staff used a bad tone when I followed up on my issue. The bed sheet and set were rough, like sleeping on calico fabrics. I really expected this hotel to be up to the same standard as other Bonvoy hotels, but it was not! On the first day I arrived at the hotel, I had already checked in through the mobile app before arriving, so I thought it could be a faster process at the front desk, but it was not. I still had to spend time with the document and checked in at the counter for around 20 minutes. The check-in through the mobile app was useless. It did not make any difference at all whether or not you checked in to the mobile app. While I stayed here for 6 days, I noticed the staff only greeted the foreign tourists and ignored the Thai. Once, I walked behind some foreigners, and the staff greeted them. When I came up, they just turned around and ignored me. Before I checked out, I noticed that my face cleansing lock head (Which blocks the face cleansing pump head from flowing out when moving) was missing. So, I called the front desk to check about this matter. After 10 minutes, I called them to follow up again, and they said they were checking it and would call me back in 2 minutes. Then, the service staff called and told me they checked and did not found my thing, so I asked her what she would do about this, and she said to me in a bad tone and pressed out each word like "I WAS LOOK-KING FOR YOUR THINGS, AND I DID NOT FOUND IT". I thought if this happened to the foreigner, she would not dare to use this inappropriate tone. In the end, I did not get my item back. On the last night, the bed sheet and its set were rough and itched to my skin. It was like I slept on the calico bed with a million of fine sand on the sheet. It was hard to sleep on it, making me uncomfortable most of the night. The breakfast buffet was average. There was not much variety of food. The desserts here were good. Almost all of the desserts were delicious. There are 3 large swimming pools, which are clean and beautiful. The room was spacious, the air conditioner was good, and the room was quiet. However, from the overall I experienced, I don't think it was worth it with a 5-star hotel, so I am giving merely 1-star for this hotel. I feel I waste money for nothing. It was not a good memories here, such a shame.”

Bungalows are super nice and spacious, you must know though that you're in the forest and there are insects around (on the outside terrace, not inside) and the floor of the outdoor shower is covered with whatever falls from the trees above (its been cleaned every day, but). I loved my stay there and hope to be back soon”

“The perfect hotel, a place that is heaven at a fair price compared to the other places around. We took a room with access to the pool, the place has a gym with everything you need and a spa that is just amazing. Good breakfast, excellent restaurants (a bit expensive but worth the price). The hotel has an adjacent beach where there are also excellent restaurants. The service at the hotel is excellent and always with a smile, the employees were attentive to all our requests and don't miss the Thai buffet on Friday evenings. Words just cannot describe this perfect place. We didn't want to leave and if we could we would have stayed longer. Don't miss the shuttles from the hotel to the local market, a local experience worth going to experience (happens 3 times a week). The place is suitable for everyone: for a person looking for a place of peace, for a couple looking for a romantic vacation and for a family looking for a fun vacation for children as well (the place has a children's area and a dedicated pool adjacent to the main pool).”

“I want to share an honest review of this hotel because all I saw were fake reviews. This hotel has horrible customer service. The staff are unwilling to help and push back on every request or complaint. This hotel also has absolutely no accessibility compliance and no elevators. They put my 86 year old dad on the 3rd floor and refused to help change the room. The front desk person was very rude and aggressive when we asked them to change the room. The shower has no accessibility for people with difficulty moving and again my dad has to take shower in my room. Additionally, the property is old and rooms are hit or miss. My room has garbage bags view. When I asked if we could have a different room, the receptionist very quickly responded that they were fully booked even without checking. Again, no effort or empathy. Overall, the hotel territory is not well maintained and the beach is dirty with all the debris from trees. We have to use the beach of the hotel next door. I hope the management reads this feedback and trains the staff to be more polite and accommodating. I do not recommend this hotel.”

“Just finished spending a week here and all I can say is I wish we had booked for longer. It’s absolutely beautiful a true paradise oasis. Lovely pool and no mad scramble to get a sunbed. Staff very helpful and rooms changed daily. The only thing I would add is I think breakfast could do with improving but nothing too bad. We have booked to come back next year :-)”

“Spent there for three days. It was one of the best trip and hospitality in this year of me. This resort provided everything a person needs. It is like a perfect ecosystem. The best thing that i realized is Staffs and service. Everyone was extraordinarily nice to me. Especially for a lady stationed at the breakfast canteen named "Bee". Even though it was a busy morning with tons of guests having a breakfast, she still took a good care of me beyond expectation and my requests.”

Yes you can see people walking up and down their stairs and yes you can see people sitting in their plunge pool area but that is at some considerable distance and if you stare!! “The Hotel as such and its Garden are Amazing. It is romantica and charming to walk through the gardens. However, you can tell that either there is no more money left for renovation etc. or they just do not care anymore. This is a real pity, as it is beautiful though. 5 more years and it will definitely lose one more star. After 3 days we decided to have breakfast outside, as the instant coffee, super sweet juices and untasty croissants did not make breakfast enjoyable. Location is top, just make sure you do not get any bungalow close to the street. Otherwise you can hear rock concerts until midnight;-).”

It's clean, comfortable, nice pool, swim up bar is fun (but the cocktails are not great, stick to beer/wine), breakfast buffet is fine. Great location in the middle of it all. But wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. Seems like there should be a better deal in town.”
