“Fantastic experience and wonderful service. The rooms were beautiful and the sea was clear and blue. Breakfast was a buffet selection of Thai and Western food and the restaurant for dinner had a great selection. We had a lovely time with a staff member called Mint who helped my boyfriend select a table overseeing the sunset so he could propose to me! There are also 2 pools and the spa is nearby for a massage. We also watched a fire show on Friday night, so much fun! We were so sad to leave! Note for everyone arriving to Koh Samet, there's an entry fee (I think 200b per person) to enter the island, as it's a national park. You pay this fee to the government officials when you come off the boat.”

“Gorgeous little beach retreat. Superbly efficiently run Le Vimarn… from arrival at the plush, modern private pier lounge. 10m speed boat transfer and you’re on the beach & cottages overlooking the bay. Just loved it. Staff were superb. Cottages well desigbed and attention to detail. We enjoyed the local food at Breeze and Buzz and O (more than the western options.) Fabulous sunsets. A place to return to hopefully!”

“Warning this is NOT a five star resort, it is three star at best. We checked in and went to our room to find our bed covered with long dark hairs, we had the bed changed. We were told breakfast was 6am-10.30am. We arrived to eat breakfast at 9am and all the food warmers had been turned off!!!!!! Cold beans, cold eggs, cold sausages and so on. My son arrived at 9.30am and wanted Thai noodles, all gone! We were told the greedy Chinese ate them all!!!!!!! Make some more then.... Finally 90% of the staff were unfriendly.”

“The hotel, while generally pleasant, shows signs of aging. The breakfast, while standard, fulfills basic needs. Initially, the sheets had holes, and despite a prompt replacement, the new ones had similar issues. The mattress was uncomfortable, causing back pain. A regrettable oversight resulted in the theft of sandals left outside overnight. Despite these setbacks, I attribute much of it to unfortunate circumstances.”

However there are not enough beach chairs for number of customers to enjoy sunbathing on the beach, people got up early to put the towel on the beach chair to reserve their chairs.”

“Had a great experience with family (4 yo kid) at Mercure Rayong. We stayed in a villa, very quiet, clean. The swimming pool is very chill, with palm trees around and the sea right at your feet. Warm Welcome from the Team and the GM who ensured that our experience was optimal. Location is nice, next to the beach, can do a nice walk and visiting food market around, and finish the day watching the sunset on the restaurant terrasse. It's more like a boutique hotel like M Gallery than Mercure. So great value for money.”

“Rooms are probably good but our room had several issues. A/C too cold and it was not possible to adjust. No seats /chairs and no table. We had to sit and eat on bed. Water tap was leaking water to floor. Whole hotel area seems a bit run down, lots of broken lamps in the area and no signs of maintenance. The hotel is way too expensive compared with other hotels however if you enjoy live in a garden with flowers, birds and pool then it may be worth it. Breakfast was good. Free parking. 150 meters to a nearby 7/11, everal seafood restaurants and the beach. However a nearby sewage plant near the beach make the area near the beach smells. (no smell at the hotel)”

“Nice relax atmosphere with private beach. Staffs are superb. They are friendly and helpful. Charcoal grill is allow at your own house, you can also bring food from outside, like old style bungalow. The place is recently renovated and quite nice. Breakfast must be improved, especially if compared to the room rate.”

“Location is on the dirty side of the island’s beaches. Lots of garbage can be seen on the beach… most business were shut or gone out of business(b’cos of covid?) Our room, did not look like the picture and looked pretty beaten up …also, our room didn’t have warm water. We got moved to another room but toilet was broken so got moved to third room with no view. We called and visited the the front desk but for hours no one answered or attended us. Swimming pool looked dirty. There was a private party so the small beach front area was occupied by thus group so others didn’t have access to the beach. There were no food or drink on the premises for sale. Nearby area has subpar food . We paid nearly 3000 baht/night to stay at their most basic room whereas the waterfront rooms cost about 9000 baht according to the frontdesk. I do not recommend this place.”

“we were here on the 28/4/19 we like this place ,beautiful and clean .we were booking through "agoda". there are a little thing 1. the wifi is quite slow and hard to connect but that okay to us we were have 4g on our mobile phone. 2. the water is quite small drip. 3. our room number 105 the air cond is not cold even on the 23 degrees but it is still warm in the room. over all is okay in this price 670 Thaibath.”
