Unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant was closed while we were there, so we had to order taxis to come pick us up and bring us to the grocery store and restaurants on a daily basis. Often taxi drivers will charge for the distance to get to the hotel, in addition to taking you to your destination.”

“Very friendly and welcoming staff. Check in/out process efficient and smooth. Rooms very clean, well appointed, and beds comfortable. The breakfast was top notch with a wide choice. The location is excellent, you are within walking distance to all the major attractions and restaurants. The only downside is that there is only one lift/elevator which can be slow at the busy periods if you are on the upper floors but it is an old building with plenty of charm so it is understandable. We would most definitely return.”

“Short version: this was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had in my life. Long version… I took my girlfriend here for a very special weekend. The staff from the moment we arrived were the most friendly and welcoming I’ve met at any hotel I’ve stayed in. In just a weekend I felt like the staff at Hotel de la Ville became my extended family! I came to Rome with the intention of proposing to my girlfriend. When the staff showed us to our room (I mean suite!) that they had generously upgraded us to, I was speechless. We were shown to the Roma Suite by Francesca, and our jaws dropped. The suite was palatial, and the outdoor terrace had a panoramic view of Rome. It was utterly magical. So this hotel became the place I got down on one knee to propose to my girlfriend. The staff throughout the weekend never failed to make our weekend incredible. From the bottle of Prosecco to congratulate us, to the applause from the reception staff when we told them. Now, perhaps not everyone going to this hotel will be getting engaged every weekend… regardless, there are so many wonderful aspects of Hotel de la Ville. The breakfast is impeccable, with a huge range of options as well as a professional kitchen willing to cook a variety of delicacies on the menu. Again the staff are incredibly attentive and welcoming. We also managed to spend some time in the spa. The spa was so relaxing, and a delight to escape to from the hustle and bustle of Rome life. The spa was both warming and soothing but also modern and fresh. The interior design and details of the spa were utterly perfect. Perhaps our favourite spot in the hotel, though, aside from our suite(!) was the cocktail bar. Here, the staff are absolutely dedicated to their craft. I had the best negroni I’ve ever had (the Cockney, on their menu!), and then we came back the following evening to sample their Valentine’s special that they were working on: the love potion. I’ve never met people with such passion for making cocktails. It was infectious, and inspiring. As you might expect, we didn’t want our magical weekend to end. This hotel, and the staff, will forever be in my heart, for making me the happiest man in the world.”

“Stayed for two nights for honeymoon to explore room. We had one of the luxury suites which had a beautiful and private courtyard. The room was nice with giant jacuzzi tub, but no shower which I did not expect. Breakfast was fine and the location was great. I thought the friendliness of the staff at checkin could be much improved. If someone from the hotel is reading this, please work on this. You have guests jet lagged and tired checking in who are excited about their trip to Italy. Why not greet them and make them feel special and welcome rather than a bother? The best part of the hotel was the rooftop bar where they made great drinks and gave you very tasty snacks. The servers were really friendly as well. Overall, it’s a fine hotel and affordable for a few nights stay to explore Rome.”

“I booked a room in advance for 2 persons and paid 600+ Euro for 4 nights. I was planning to stay with a friend there and this was my only vacation. However, when I arrived they started pretending as if I booked the stay for 1 person… and required to pay 600 euro extra for 1 additional person in my double room! So that in general it would be 1200 Euro! However, when you check the prices via Booking you see that it is a fraud. I tried to argue and show my booking but administrator was really aggressive though. In other case I would definitely run away from this hotel, but to spend 30+ hours to get to Italy from Ukraine and face such challenges was not the best idea. The rooms are really old. The only good thing about the room on 8 floor was the view - it is amazing! The hotel is expensive and the price is not fair. In addition, there are real problems with taxi in Terracina - so I would not recommend you to stay in this hotel - it was real stress for me and my friends. In addition, we also booked a few extra rooms. The money and your expectations of the service is nothing here. Moreover, they require 16 euros for the sun-bed even if you stay at the hotel!!! But then it turned out that it is only 8 euro per bed and they give 2 beds for 16. In this regard I have a question: if I would have stayed alone as they presented why had I needed 1 extra sun-bed?)) It seems to me that thee cheated on me. These days were really stressful and I felt like not being welcomed there. Definitely would not recommend this hotel for the people younger than 80.”

“Lovely beach, on a very clean stretch in Gaeta. Prices are pretty much the same as everywhere in Gaeta, around €50-€60 for two chairs and an umbrella. Staff are helpful, although the kitchen/restaurant setup is super confusing to navigate if you’re not familiar with the place. However, with that said the food was delicious!”

From the ample and well kept gardens it is possible to enjoy a nice view of the highest peaks of the Aurunci mountain chain on one side, and of the gulf of Gaeta on the other. Some of the dishes we were served were really good, whereas some others left us slightly disappointed (albeit none of them were bad).”

“Just returned from a week long vacation at Hu I Pini Village. We were a couple, three children (12,10,6) and a small dog. The overall impression is great, the village gives you the feeling of a calm vacation, zero worries and a great atmosphere. Rooms - The accommodations were great but not excellent. The kitchen could have more accessories (oven, coffee machine) but it met with our needs. The blankets were a bit outdated and not really gave the best impressions so I recommend brining your own. AC was great. Kids - Had a blast. The animators teams were amazing. so lovely, fun and with high energies. My kids loved them and even now keeps reciting all the dances they thought them. My eldest (12 year old) were quite bored sometimes, everything is heavily aimed for 10 and under. Safety - No complaints. Felt safe. You do need to note that there are cars traveling within the facility (although at a very low speed) so please let your kids be aware of that. The place was mostly accommodated by Dutch people which of course are very nice and pleasant.”

“very beautiful villa, and would make a beautiful wedding venue. rooms are okay but both the tvs and the ac/heater is hard to work. the showers took awhile to generate hot water (20 mins to 45 mins). overall the grounds are very very beautiful and gorgeous. there are some cats roaming around but they are very sweet and love to say hello. both breakfast and dinner was fine the only thing off was the service because the servers were pretty rude. overall service wasn’t the best and even when i had asked for extra towels the employee had gotten upset. this place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but due to exterior design it isn’t too bad.”
