“We only stayed for one night with our kids. Pro The location isn't far from the village and has a nice private beach. The staff was very nice. Has dinning options on site. The suite with kitchenette have all the essential like pots, cutlery and dishes. Cons The lodge is very outdated. Our room was dirty upon arrival, there was dust here and there and one of our toilets was clogged. The pool is dated as well, and did not look really clean when we went to use it so we stuck to the beach. All in all, it may be the best option for a family getaway in the area.”

“Service was FANTASTIC! And the hotel is well located. The only complaint I have is that they promise spectacular views, and the pictures on the website aren't representative of the view we had. I was in a suite, so I kind of expected the same view we saw on the website, but it was nowhere near that beautiful. Other than the view being a little underwhelming, the rest of my experience was good. The staff is very friendly, the service at the valet parking was very good and the hotel is well located and within walking distance of many local attractions!”

“Our experience here was outstanding. Comfortable and well-appointed rooms, friendly and very helpful staff and outstanding food in both the restaurant and bistro. And the chef is to be commended; the food was so tasty with excellent flavors and presentation. We recommend the fixed price menu. And for something more casual, we went to the bistro after a (very) long day of hiking. We had excellent burgers and enjoyed relaxing in that space. All in all, a great place to stay in a beautiful location. Most highly recommended.”

“Had a great time at this place and we go every year. I didn't give 5 stars because the music plays loud until late at night when kids all over the camp are trying to sleep so maybe change the rules about that, please get a bilingual person who answers the phones too so we can be understood, and also dogs are not allowed. Otherwise great place. The sites are clean, the kids have a blast at the lake and they love the train too. There is a corner store nearby in case you forgot to bring anything.”

Isabelle made check in and sled rentals extremely easy and quick. We were on the trails in no time. “If you are looking for a quick weekend getaway than Auberge is the place to go. It is in a small quiet town that has a farmer's market every Saturday and close to areas where you can hike and kayak. The place itself was nice but I felt it is a bit outdated. The hot tub and pool was nice as well but one of the days the hot tub did not pump hot water. Breakfast and dinner was included in our stay and I have to say the food was quite delicious. Overall, this place is nice to go once. If renovations are made to this place it would be so much better but I am happy we got to experience it. Definitely the area surrounding made it worth it.”

“Although the location is not too far from Old Quebec City, the neighborhood is full of homeless people and random strangers who will make you feel very uncomfortable when walking back to the hotel at night. Check-in time is 4 pm, which is very unusual. The experience is nowhere close to a hotel experience; it's definitely a hostel experience. The building doors are locked, and you need to ring and ask them to let you in if it's before your check-in time. You will be in a very hot and uncomfortable area called the "lobby" with no washrooms, only a bench. There's no greeting, and the staff are very unfriendly. Reception is only open between 10 am and midnight. The hotel room was very hot as the AC was not working properly. We asked the staff to check it, and they admitted that the room is hot, but all we heard was that this is the coolest temperature that the AC can be set to, and there's nothing they can do. Another big surprise was the outlets! We're not sure what the problem was exactly, but when we plugged in our devices, it took them all HOURS to get charged! There was obviously something wrong with the power in the building! I cannot describe the frustration! The fridge was empty, and when we asked for some water, they said we could use tap water in the washroom! This was the first time in my life going to a hotel where I was asked to drink water from the washroom tap. The sheets were not visibly dirty but smelled really weird. We were happy we had brought our own pillowcases. There were no shelves in the bathroom to put stuff like shampoos! So you needed to put them on the floor!!”
