“Great hotel with a water park, ideal for families with kids. The hotel is very nice, modern and well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well equipped and have a small kitchenette. The personnel is very friendly and professional. A great advantage of the hotel is the direct connection to the water park and the longer operating hours compared to external guests. A couple of opportunities to improve: 1) The breakfast/dinner buffet could be better. The food quality is good, but the variety is not what we would expect from a 4* hotel. Also, quite pricey for dinner (24€/person) for that food offer. 2) The room cleaning personnel didn't do our beds, they simply cleaned the room (our room was very tidy when we left, so there is no excuse). Again something you would expect from a 4* hotel. Nevertheless, the experience was great and the kids had a lot of fun. We totally recommend it!”

“This is our sixt evening out in a row, and after some ups and downs we came to a heaven of how dishes shall be made and taste, more expensive places have a lot to learn, what a chef! The dining room at the hotel is a story by itself, beautifully restored to former glory and just a room you don't want to leave. The menu we oped for: salad with home made dressing, a beef steak, and desert, a chocolate fondant and accompanied by a German grauburgunder. We received first a small appetiser on the house, which was a wonderful mix of fermented grains and chanterellesl and nice flower on top, and absolute treat! Then the salad came, and it was astonishing, fresh leaves of spinach, drizzled lightly with fresh and cooked parmegani, flowers on top and all in a dressing that was supporting it to perfection, yummie. Now my expectations were rising, hoping the steak with sweet potatoes, chanterelles and a dark sauce would continue my joy of food even further, and it did. Extremely seldomly I have eaten a more succulent piece of meat with company in my life, it was nothing left on my plate, nor my company as well, a very rare experience. Could the desert destroy what we have got so far? Not at all, I am usually disappointed when I have the fondant, but not this time, far from it, nice and warm, and with a home made strawberry sorbet and fresh berries on the side. What a perfect meal, it could not be better. In Michelin terms I will agree this restaurant is a journey worth!”

“This is a secret tip and certainly worth the 40 minutes driving from Berlin-Mitte. This small boutique hotel in the middle of a nature reserve has a very nice restaurant with a great chef, also a nice deck outside overlooking a beautiful lake (which is actually a river, but in Brandenburg you never can tell because all waters are so wide and lazy - very much lake-like). Next, there is also a small beach with a recreational area, a change room and free toilets - and a walkaround pier for the swimmers. You can rent a boat too and try to spot white-headed sea-eagles (which I never saw in the US, but here in Brandenburg they are quite common). One of my favourite spots!”
