The rooms were incredibly comfortable and well equipped. It felt like they had really considered what would be required throughout the day. When it was cold at night, we would return to find hot water bottles in our beds. When I was bitten by a mosquito I found cream in the room. It felt like I would think about needing something, and it would be right in front of me because the staff had already considered it. The only thing I felt there was room for improvement was on the email communication ahead of the stay. This felt impersonal with each reply from a different person and groups of employees at a central office added to the chain with every email. Other than that I have nothing but great feedback.”

They offer individual cottages with a balcony from where you can touch the trees of jungle. It’s a jungle with all amenities to relax. We love the silence, the cool breeze, the smell of jungle, watching butterflies, listening to chirping of birds. Very clean and tidy house keeping with a clean surroundings. Staffs are polite, gentle and dedicated to serve you with their best. They have a club house with table tennis, chess, carom board and few more games. Cycling was a great fun with family and a long walk within the property was very interesting. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and will be visiting once again very soon.”

The staff is well trained and provide excellent service. The resort is very well furnished and tastefully constructed. The room is a bit cramped for three people with an extra bed. Food is great but needed to tell the cook to spice it up a bit as it is by default low spice due to many foreign guests.”

“Stopped to have lunch on the way from Delhi to Nagpur. This is an MP tourism hotel, very conveniently located on the NH44 on the left side when coming from Agra. It is on the outskirts of Gwalior and has lots of prime area There is lot of parking available and the building is nice and done in heritage style. Did not use the rooms, but the restaurant is nice and clean. However, the bathrooms were choked and had not been maintained properly, even though the fittings were modern and new. Food was nice and the service was also good. Main problem was that they did not have any digital payment and accepted only cash. This really caught us off guard, since in today's India, hardly anyone insists on cash. Even roadside vendors accept digital money. Best was the excuse given by the staff that there was no network, but their computers and the ATM was working!”

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, as my expectations were shattered during my time at this establishment. From the moment we checked in, my family and I were met with a lackluster and unwelcoming atmosphere. The receptionist's attitude set the tone for our entire stay, and it was nothing short of disheartening. Instead of the warm hospitality one expects, we were treated with indifference and a lack of interest in our well-being. Despite extending our stay, there was no effort from the staff to make us feel valued as guests. The entire experience was characterized by the recitation of policies rather than genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction. We were left disheartened by the complete absence of hospitality. Dining at the resort was equally disheartening. On a day when the restaurant was far from busy, the chef failed to provide any assistance or recommendations, leaving us to fend for ourselves. This lack of engagement and support further contributed to our disappointment. Our room also had its share of issues, including a significant AC leakage that not only disrupted our comfort but also raised concerns about safety and maintenance. The disheartening realization that these issues were not promptly addressed left us feeling neglected and unimportant. To add to our disappointment, the water bottles were not adequately replenished in our room the next morning. When we raised this concern with the receptionist, we were met with the audacity of being told that this was not in line with the hotel's policies. This lack of basic courtesy and service left us deeply disheartened. In summary, my stay at Riverfront Resort Chitrakoot was profoundly disappointing. The indifference, unwelcoming attitude, and lack of hospitality, especially from the receptionist, made our experience disheartening from start to finish. This is not what one expects when staying at a resort. I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and strives to provide a more welcoming and hospitable environment for future guests.”
