“I didn't quite like my experience here. We were booked in a dormitory room. The double deck beds are old and creaking. They couldn't support the weight of a full grown man. The comfort room was smelly, and the water running from the faucet also stank. The function halls were very small for us. The internet connection was laggy. Even mobile data was very slow. The surroundings needed upkeep. It looked very far from the photos on their website. The staff were really kind and accommodating, though. They did their best to attend to our needs. The swimming pools looked good and inviting. There was nightly entertainment. The food we were served was quite good. The hotel just needs upgrading.”

“I was introduced to Henann by my Filipino family and we stayed in Henann Boracay before we came here in Tawala. Well Henann positioned themselves as luxury 5 stars but there’s a few basic amenities that makes me rethink if i will stay with Henann again, probably not. Shower If I know I am staying in a higher end hotel I usually pack light on my toiletries as I assume proper shower gel, shampoo, in-room slipper, and bathrobe will be provided. But none of the above are provided in this 5 star hotel. They only provide a small soap and a very low quality shampoo and conditioner. First world problems i guess 🤣 Water They only provide 2 small bottles a day. I have to try very hard to request for additional bottles in this hotel group. I ended up just head out to the nearer 7-11 to get my own water. Staff and service This is one of the areas we like most about Henann, the people. All the staff we encountered are very well-trained and friendly, thumbs up to all the crews 👍 Pool We do enjoy the pool but won’t recommend getting the direct pool access room as the pool is open to all hotel guests, so you’ll see stranger swimming right through your front door. Food The hotel breakfast is okay but I’ll rate it as below average for a luxury hotel standard. The selection is very limited and it gets extremely crowded. Only black coffee and tea is provided, no latte or cappuccino etc”

Got another room next doors because this one was fully booked. Had to pay extra, was not happy about the service because they seem to lack the understanding.. no apology, explanation, nothing. I recommend everyone to just spend a few hundred more pesos to stay in a proper hotel because this one is definitely NOT a 3-star accommodation..”

“I arrived at 1230 pm, even with my room available I was not allowed 🚫 to check-in. I was instructed to go to the outdoor restaurant and sit down wait. 130 pm during the rain storm, my bags and myself were soaked, once again I was told I could not check in until 2pm. Once checked in, there was no room Wi-Fi. You either had to go to the outside restaurant or front lobby for Wi-Fi access. Staff was always friendly Booking the room was a challenge from their own website.”

“Rovira Suites is a great spot to stay since it is located in in Rovira Rd., of which is close to the city center of Dumaguete—you can ride tricycle and habalhabal if you wait outside the hotel. There are ramps for wheelchair and an elevator. The service is good and the staff are very friendly, kudos to the manager that is very understanding. Rooms are clean and smells good. We always let them clean the room everyday while we travel around Dumaguete and Valencia. Overall, it is an excellent experience in this hotel.”
