“Overall a very nice experience, the people serving for check in have really good English. Our check in is smooth. One tips you need to go to the other side of the hotel Tokinoniwa to check in at night, as two hotels are in fact connected. SUPER good public and private onsen, private onsen are used for free but needs to line up. Nice breakfast buffet. But yet, the room’s air con is too hot as it is centrally managed even it is snowing outside. Overal nice view nice food nice onsen, reasonable price!”

“The Kawaraya Onsen, which was founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo, is still alive and well, although it was relocated with the construction of the Yamba Dam. Although it is almost neutral with a pH of 7.41, it has a slightly firm texture and is comfortable. There is an indoor bath and an open-air bath, neither of which are very large, but they are almost reserved for private use on weekday mornings, so it doesn't feel cramped. Although the open-air bath faces the surface of the lake, the view is honestly not very good as it is obstructed by trees. disappointing. The facility as a whole is small, so there are no dining facilities, but there is a spacious rest area with tatami flooring. There is only one vending machine, but there is no alcohol. Honestly, I feel lonely near the hot spring town. It feels like it's suitable for purely enjoying hot springs. Also, you cannot drive in front of the facility, so you will need to use a parking lot a little further away. There are some hills, so be careful if you are elderly or have disabilities.”

“My wife and I stayed here on a weekday. It’s a small quiet peaceful place to stay. The place has a lovely view of the mountains. You can do a private bath or enjoy the outdoor bath. Both feel really nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is also very delicious. I highly recommend staying here”
