“I had a king suite room. As a housekeeper myself I notice the little things, and the larger things stick out even bigger. As me and my Boyfriend first looked around the room I noticed these things. 1 There were no robes ( we had met a few people later on who said they just had them in the closets). 2 The coffee mugs still had rings from previous guests 3 A sweater tucked into the right side of the mattress 4 There was previous stains on the sheets and pillow cases, one of them had a rip in it as well (should go into a reclaim bin in laundry) 5 The sheets on the bed were not for the correct bed. Flat instead of fitted, and the duvet was a queen on a king bed 6 There brown blanket was there but no extra pillow 7 I really felt that the front desk lady who checked us in was wonderful! She spoke with us twice and was lovely. But there was a front desk person who was not very approachable, he was quite rude to He served us as we were checking out. The positives were : The bistro was great. Had a great waitress! We had dinner there, it was really good. Hot tub was great, beautiful view. The also have a hammock I sat in to watch the sunset and sunrise. Beautiful spot.”

“Front staff ok, room was fine. Did not try restaurant because it was very expensive. However, for an airport hotel, the shuttle service was untenable. Had to take a taxi from the airport because we arrived "after the service stopped for the night". Had to take a taxi back because it had left 10 minutes before and wouldn't be around for another hour. Is there even a shuttle? I don't know I didn't see it. Will I stay there again? Nah”

“Stayed at the Rundlestone Lodge with my husband for New Year’s. While the stay wasn’t bad, I wouldn’t personally stay here again. After reading countless reviews, I thought this would be a comfortable stay. However, one thing that nobody seemed to mention is the super strange layout of their rooms. If you stay in a 2 Queen room, you may have a window that faces their indoor pool. Not a bad view if you’re a parent wanting to keep an eye on your kid at the pool I guess but it is NOISY. Starting from the earlier mornings to the late evening (10:30 when the pool closes) you can hear the echos of kids screaming in your room. Thankfully, the staff did address it when we called exactly at 10:30 to shut it down but I’m shocked that it’s not mentioned anywhere in reviews. Location was OK. You’re pretty much at the very far end of Banff Ave from everything downtown so it takes about 15 minutes to walk into town which isn’t bad. I’d choose something a bit closer next time. Rooms were clean and spacious, elevator was wonky but fine. Just really awfully loud when kids are in the pool area.”

“Very clean king cabin style room. Could definitely hear our neighbors walking around or talking but it was never an issue for us - other than that it was extremely quiet. The continental breakfast available to guests left something to be desired. Was extremely disappointed in this portion of our six night stay. If you are planning on going into Jasper, it’s a 45 minute drive into town- which we really didn’t mind at all because we live in rural Montana and it’s a minimum 45 minute drive to anything here! It was a nice place and we felt like it was definitely a good choice for us - minus the breakfast.”

“The hotel is a bit old but nice. The room was spacious and we had access to a huge shared balcony which was very nice. That said, the room was not serviced well. We never got enough towels and the trash cans were not emptied once. The swimming pool was nice but it is *very* small and the water were freezing (which didn’t stop my kids from enjoying it!). The hot tub was great! Spacious, hot and strong jets.”

“This was one of the best experiences. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind. Our room got upgraded to the deluxe cabin which was an amazing surprise. The cabin was clean, quiet, and cozy which was exactly what we were looking for and more. There’s lots to do on site, we especially enjoyed the game room, hot tub and just sitting by the fire at the end of the night. Overall it was a perfect experience!”

“I’ve stayed here twice now and my first stay was better then my recent. They do offer comfortable pet friendly rooms but the parking situation leaves room for improvement. The parking lot is pretty much a free for all including random people not staying in the hotel parking in the lot. We ran into the unfortunate circumstance of having to pay for parking and park on the street until a spot became available due to random people using the lot that shouldn’t have been. I don’t understand why the parking stall directly outside from the room you’re staying in isn’t your designated spot for the duration of your stay. They take all your vehicle information upon check in and give you a pass for your dash stating you are only allowed one vehicle per room per stay yet when people outside the hotel use their lots there is apparently “nothing they can do”. The hot tub also had issues the night we stayed so we couldn’t use it even though that was one of the main reasons we booked this specific hotel. The room itself was modern, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However, the tub porcelain was chipping and one of the windows didn’t have a blackout curtain creating a lot of light when trying to sleep as it faced the road. They do offer complimentary coffee/tea and include a very big smart tv. Unfortunately we were offered nothing to accommodate for the hot tub being broken and the parking costing us money. When we spoke to the front desk about the parking issue they told us parking is complimentary but not guaranteed and there wasn’t anything they could do and that we would have to wait for someone to leave and to try and find parking on the road for the time being. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where parking isn’t 100% guaranteed to the guests paying to stay at the facility. Due to these frustrating circumstances we dropped the rating from 4 stars to 3 and would look at other places first before booking here again.”

“Our hotel room was not clean. We booked this hotel as it was close to west edmonton mall and we thought it would be a “nicer” then the typical hotel chains in the area. You walk in and the hotel looks nice, there was even a conference being held there. It cost us 170 a night so we assumed the rooms would be simple but clean, however, the room was really really dirty. I don’t mind it’s dated look or lack of amenities, but for me the issue was how gross the room was. The beds were dusty, I found a piece of food behind my pillow, the shower had hair in it and there was an actual poop stain in the toilet when we arrived. I wanted to leave but we were only there for a weekend so I bought a blanket from Walmart to sleep on top of. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life (I was a flight attendant for many years) this was one of the dirtiest for sure.”

“The Crossing at Ghost River is a gem in the world of hospitality. I’m not sure where they find their staff, but each and everyone one of them are thoughtful and dedicated to an outstanding experience. I came to Ghost River for a two day work meeting and it speaks volumes that we booked in advance for 2025 to return for our next meeting before we even leaving the venue. They went above and beyond in every aspect of our 16 person group - from food preferences to ensuring accessibility and comfort for our wheelchair user. They ran me printed materials on a moments notice, made sure our beer was cold, and that the snacks were laid out for our impromptu hockey game party. The venue is beautiful, clean, beds comfortable. The air is fresh and wifi is top notch. You haven’t experience a retreat until you’ve been to the Crossing at Ghost River. Do yourself a favor and book a stay.”

“We arrived and booked into our 3- bedroom chalet which was on the expensive side but we don’t get away often and decided to splurge. When parking, our assigned parking spot was taken by another guest because the vehicle beside them was taking up 2 spots. We then had to park in someone else’s stall. Room was very cramped, outdated, dirty and the heat was not working…in January. I picked up massive hairballs from the floor, food wrappers, and lots of cobwebs everywhere. The furniture was filthy and ripped. The walls were chipped and beaten. We could barely get our suitcase in the master bedroom as it was so tiny. We started the wood stove and turned up the heat only to get cold air from the vents. Maintenance was very helpful and tried to fix it as we huddled around the fire in our coats. We were eventually offered a couple small space heaters….we asked for a new room. We down graded to a 2 bedroom chalet which was cleaner and had more space. Still outdated but better. Ceiling light fixtures are full of bugs and lots of cobwebs throughout. This was very inconvenient and also wasted several hours of which we could have been enjoying ourselves. We were not offered anything to make up for this. The waterslides and hot tubs were nice however there is no pool to just swim in. The change rooms were filthy by 4:30(pool opens at 2). The floors covered in hair and debris. We were assured that they get cleaned every morning at 8…they definitely need cleaned throughout the day. We would not recommend this hotel or stay here again. Very overpriced and outdated.”
