“First off it says it’s a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is a 4.5 star hotel without a doubt!!! And the staff make it feel VIP for they are so lovely! All the ladies at the front desk, the sweet breakfast woman too! The hotel itself is something else- just wait until you see the view!!!! Just WoW! It’s like 3 min from the train station and they have a shuttle to take you. Our room was full of wood like a cabin feel, so nice, with a beautiful modern bathroom. It was simple super cozy, kind of perfectly romantic for New Years Eve while it snowed huge snowflakes outside. For a longer stay I’d splurge for a bigger room but for one night it was perfect! The view of the Grace hotel lit up, the NYE fireworks, and the lake off the balcony was just awesome (room 408). The whisky bar is incredible and the fact you can smoke a cigar inside there it’s fantastic!”

“Definitely not a 5* experience at this property! We booked a 3 night stay and only stayed one night since this was absolutely not what we had expected for a supposedly 5 star experience. This was supposed to be a spa trip with my mother and it turned out to be far from relaxing. We were sold a stay at a Château and ended up 300 meters from the Chateau because all the « good rooms » were given to a corporate group and they no longer had rooms at their main property. We purchased a 3 day spa package only to find out the spa was closed on the day of our arrival. This was disappointing especially since the room we were given was not clean and felt very stuffy (photos included). We could not stay there another night.”

“Helpful staff looking after a small hotel and restaurant. Room was small and basic, but lovely location right on the river. Spent a lovely late afternoon in the sun by the river with some lovely wines and a few beers. Restaurant evening meal was fine if a little pricey. But breakfast was disappointing even for continental. Overall fine for a one night stopover on route to bordeaux with plenty of on site parking and lovely spot for a glass or two in the evening by the river.”
