“The rooms are absolutely awful, sorta like a Motel 6. No closet at all, but rather a "stand up credenza" type piece of furniture, which held very little. The bathroom door could NOT be closed unless you stepped into the bathroom FIRST, then you were able to shut the door to sit on the pot. The sink area was so narrow (maybe 24" wide), you could not spread your arms out without your elbows hitting the walls on either side of the sink. I think the "sink area" was once in a closet, reason it was so narrow. Meals were an expensive issue unless you were willing to spend $30 on a buffet breakfast (plus tax and tip), and $60 for a buffet dinner, even if you didn't want a buffet, you had no choice. The reception/front desk area was absolutely gorgeous, soaring 20' ceilings and great gift shop. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. But the hotel rooms were very disappointing. Unfortunately, there is no other place to stay.”

“My stay here was nice. The people are SO friendly. I was happy to find out that they offered pick up and drop off to the airport for guests. There was always someone at the front desk in case I needed anything. The units were spacious and had everything I needed. And it is really nice that they offer phone call service for Aurora alerts if you don't mind being woken up at 2 or 3 am. It's a great way to ensure you don't miss the lights.”

“Stellar Service at Hyatt Place Fairbanks Just returned from a weekend getaway at Hyatt Place Fairbanks and I'm still basking in the warmth of the hospitality there. The hotel itself is quite new, which is reflected in the cleanliness and modern amenities of the rooms. What truly impressed me, though, were two staff members, Katrina and Marie. Their professionalism, combined with genuine kindness, made our stay exceptionally pleasant. They were well-informed, eager to assist, and had a knack for making guests feel special. Their recommendations for local dining and activities were spot on, enhancing our Fairbanks adventure. It's not often you find hotel staff who remember your name and treat your comfort as their priority. Yes, you might hear a bit of foot traffic from above, but with service this good, it's a minor detail. Hats off to Katrina and Marie for making our stay memorable!”

“I absolutely loved staying here! They have shuttle service from the train, which makes transportation easy. Their shuttle service also runs to other popular tourist attractions. The rooms were quaint, small cabins. The staff was very friendly (and the shuttle drivers were awesome!) They had campfires at night and the location was close to Denali National Park. I would absolutely stay here again!”
