“Alamanda was absolutely amazing! The staff was amazing, the pools were friendly for everyone. With a spa, a warm pool, a cold pool and even an adults pool! Its location is beyond amazing, being right on the beach. It’s nice and quiet at night, with the slight touch of waves hitting the shore. The massage at the spa was sensational, with friendly staff. “Had my mini honeymoon here, loved it. Yes it's pricey but you do get great value for money. Lovely rooms, great food and inclusions. Punch every day, great pools and restaurant and beautiful area. We had dinner here one night, was amazing and romantic. Very accommodating for vegetarian or vegans. Pancakes at breakfast was yummy, and the tea selection was very good. We enjoyed the staff being helpful and the little touches like welcome drinks, room diffuser and water for the airport upon check out. My only two minor issues were other guests hogging the sun lounges even before 8am (they'd put a book down and not appear for hours) and no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Will happily return for another getaway.”

The service was fabulous, the pool was great, the restaurant had delicious food, the breakfast buffet had lots of choices, and the location is walkable to downtown Cairns (note: this hotel is at the end of town, for some, this may be a little far. For us, it was no problem. We walked everywhere).”

The resort is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and just a stone's throw from the private beach. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay. The pool was an absolute highlight, as we had it mostly to ourselves. The only negative factor was that the restaurant was unfortunately closed during our visit, which wasn't advertised on the website upon booking. Overall, I highly recommend Kewarra Beach Resort for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Cairns.”

“The resort was fantastic. The apartment I had was on the third floor overlooking the amazing infinity pool which seamlessly flows onto the lagoon. The bed linen had a few spots of mould on it . The apartment was fully self contained including washing machine and dryer . Kitchen had everything you needed including a dishwasher and the cupboards were full of cutlery, plates, bowls and cups . The pool was slightly heated to take the edge of the temperature and I spent many hours every day in it . It opens at 7am closes at 10pm . The walk down to Trinity Beach and the beachfront restaurants took a mere 3min and was flat and easy going .”

We arrived after reception had closed though Natalie was still onsite to greet us, provide keys and chat with us about great places to eat in the area. Lots of room for our family of 6. Loved the easy access from our room to the pool. A huge pool and from our outdoor area able to supervise our kids in the water. A quiet place with close walking proximity to shops and dining areas. Rooms were clean with lots of space. We loved our time at Cairns Vision Apartments and I’m sure in time we will be back for another stay.”

Rooms are clean and large, a tad dated with a few small broken fixtures but nothing I personally worried about. The pool area is excellent for children especially, it’s large and shallow for large sections. They provide pool noodles and balls etc which is a small but great touch for occupying children. Great reclining arm chairs and umbrellas as well. We were located right at the top floor and if I came again I’d ask for a floor level as the kids were in and out of the pool all day but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.”

“The hostel was nice and calm, it has a beautiful terrace with an ocean view and the best hostel kitchen I’ve ever seen - SO big, well equipped and clean. Also, there is a TV room for lazy days. The kitchen is really the best part about the hostel, maybe it is that clean because you can rarely see people cooking there… it is not a very social hostel, it’s quite empty during the day and in the evening people tend to go out somewhere else or enjoy their me-time in the dorms.”
