“We absolutely loved our stay and location in Indian Shores. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, ice cream and mini golf. Beautiful views from the room and dock out back. The pool was a blast and good for the kids especially when we were done with the beach for the day. This is the cleanest, most allergy-free place we have stayed in recent memory. Their commitment to the B Certification (environmentally friendly and responsible business practices) is evident. We plan to travel to their other locations across the country because our family loved the stay so much!!”

“I found out about the beach house suites from the Goop website. My husband and I thought this would be a great way to spread out with our four children while still enjoying the amenities and beauty of the historic Don Cesar. When we pulled into the parking lot we were a bit hesitant because it looks like an old motel from the roadside. The two bedroom suite was spacious and we had a washer/dryer and a full kitchen but we also were sharing one bathroom amongst the six of us. The unit was clean and well furnished but housekeeping only came by once a day usually in the morning before we’d leave to go outside so we would just get extra towels. The beds were comfortable but our unit had a lot of outside noise that would keep you up at night if you aren’t accustomed to that so I’d recommend some type of white noise. Road noise and noises around the complex are very loud inside. There is also a lot of artificial light from the outside walkway that leaks into the bedroom we stayed in and the curtains they use don’t block it out completely. Our children enjoyed the pool and soccer but preferred the pool at the Don Cesar hotel so we walked over there most days. We really didn’t interact much with any staff but it was the week before Christmas. This place is a great fit for large families, I just wish more care and attention had been put into the amenities here as well as taking care of simple things like making sure the curtains in the bedrooms next to the outdoor walkways are blackout curtains that drape and don’t leak. If we visit the Don Cesar hotel again we would just stay at the hotel itself. The main thing is to realize that the Beach House Suites are nothing like the hotel, it’s a half a mile down the beach and staying there would be a significantly different experience.”

Right on the beach.. beautiful sunset.. we were able to park early. now for the negatives: room smelled to the point I got a severe migraine that lasted two days and i only stayed 1 night. We left as soon as I woke up. I am very sensitive to mold mildew and perfume smells. No heat and didn't realize that til after the office closed, which is 4pm. I was scared to sleep under the blanket which i didnt. This is a no on my maderia beach stays. Kind of expensive for what it was.. really outdated and needs a big face-lift inside.. this room 111 should be checked as to why it smells so bad 👎 😫 it smelled of roach bait/spray for the palmetto bugs. 🤮”

“We stayed here Oct 27-30. We will not be staying here again. First surprise was a $200 deposit (not an incidental hold) on our credit card, didn’t notice that on the booking site but did get a prompt refund. We saw reviews of a nonfunctional elevator from 2 months prior and thought surely that had been repaired. It had not. We were on the 3rd floor and my husband was still recovering from surgery. They offering nothing on the first floor when we asked. The room carpet was so filthy, we put all of our belongings up on desks and never walked in the room without shoes on. I had read a review about bed bugs and checked immediately, did not see evidence of any. Never sat on the chair or sofa in the room due to filth. The sheets/towels/wash cloths were dingy and smelled musky. We had a next door neighbor at check in playing loud music, at 11pm, hours later, we went down to the desk to request being moved and he said he could not do anything until 7:30 am the next morning but would make a call to the room. He did not and the music continued till after 1 am. I checked the website which at the time said it was 73% booked and the parking lot was only half full each night. The breakfasts were so bad we had to purchase off site. Definitely not as pictured on the web site. We did not feel safe exiting or entering the building from the side due to a possible homeless person that hung out in the gazebo the entire time. Did not feel safe in the stairwells either since the elevator didn’t work. Tried to purchase water from the vending machines on all floors every evening and was empty, requiring another trip down 3 flight to the lobby for water. Looks as though they spent their budget on tons of Halloween decorations and the lobby refurbishing but no where else. The pictures on their website are deceptive in the appearance and upkeep of how this property actually is maintained. I should have booked elsewhere after reading the reviews. I won’t make that mistake again.”

“The location was good for the price. The picture are not what it really looks like. Quite a bit older facility than what it shows. Had a funny smell in the room but it seemed to be clean. Couch was extremely uncomfortable and the room was very warm even with the air running. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely attentive. Pool was nice but small. Unfortunately it was too cold to use. They do have washer and dryer but you have to find your own quarters. Went to the local laundromat to get quarters. Floor in the room was super slippery ??? Not sure what they are using to clean the floors with.”

“They will try to scam you for more money when you leave. They are trying to charge an extra $500 for "smoking in the room". We do not smoke. When I said they can review their camera feed and that will also show the same they then said oh their was marijuana pieces found! Outrageous, never in our life have we done drug nor know anyone that does. Not to worried about it because it's all false, so beware of their check out scam!! Rooms only have a bed, night tables, refrigerator with a microwave sitting on top and coffee maker with 2 chairs. No table top space anywhere. I asked for a heater and never received it in the 60 degree room. We were their for a week and had no housekeeping or even offered, so we had to buy cleaning supplies so we were not sitting in filth. Employees walked right into our room when I was getting out of the shower. It was just a VERY bad experience when it was all said and done. I would NOT recommend. It's not worth the headache when there are much nicer REAL hotels for the same price in the area.”

No one has control over. hurricane No One. They ignore peoples concerns, health, or safety to why they do not want to come after hurricane , don’t follow cancellation policy which states “each owner makes the decision” but they reply so quick you know they are not consulting the Owners and making the decision for them. The pool will not be usable, there are bacteria concerns from Bay and Gulf mixing, shortage of food, people still trying to clean up. BE CAREFUL! GREEDY PEOPLE! MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIGIT CONCERNS! They can choose to be accommodating in unforeseen circumstances out of everyone’s control but choose to be uncaring, rude, and have no concern but getting their money. Hope you feel good keeping my $240 dollars”
