“Disappointing customer service for a 5 start hotel. I was so excited to try this property. Unfortunately, my partner and I had to change our trip plans due to some serious, unexpected family health issues. I reached out just a few hours after the cancel deadline with the hopes of simply moving our reservation so as to not lose the $1600+ we spent for a room. The hotel took 5 days to respond to the request (and multiple were sent) only to say they couldn't do anything about it and thus we have to forfeit the full amount. Really disappointing policies and customer service for a supposed "luxury" brand. Had they budged even a little and at least let us rebook to different dates, then they would've gained a loyal customer for years to come. Instead, they're getting this review, I'll never spend my money at Relais & Châteaux again, and I'll encourage friends and family to avoid them as well.”

“Paradise on earth for golfers of all levels - we walked the course for many years but would take a buggy now we are in our seventies. The course is playable nearly all year round but gets a little icy in winter. Joel Carol the head green keeper did a fantastic job as do the staff in the hotel and spa. “Great little site. Clean challets. Staff very friendly and bar / restaurant very reasonably priced. The only issue, and hence the lover star rating were the evening "Annimations" which seemed unnecessary loud and went on until midnight every night. We have stayed at many French capsites like this and have no problem with the animations theseselve just the volume which did mar out time here. Told the site rep during his round the park "how goes it" questionare, who was also very friendly and he told us that there had been a number a complains about the noise. The local area is well serviced with shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The local beach is relatively small compared to the main beach at Canet Plage but it has a life guard and is clean. It is a fair walk 35mins to Canet Plage but there is a reasonably priced land train.”
