“Stayed here for one night but I wish we had stayed longer. The rooms were clean and comfortable and offered a nice view of the pond directly behind the hotel. The only reason I did not give a 5 star review was due to the fact that there is no hot tub and the pool heater was not working at the time of my stay. Regardless, I enjoyed my stay here and will return if I am back in the area.”

“We returned to The Diplomat after a wonderful stay a year ago, and this time we brought our sons. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay, especially opening our door to view and listen to the waves of the gulf. The beach is steps from the door and the pool was warm and well maintained. The staff is always kind, and helpful in our accommodations. We appreciate the size of the rooms, the kitchen supplies, and the amount of privacy we experienced at The Diplomat. Hoping to return again and again.”

“We stayed there Oct 3-7 2023 for a short girls trip. Our stay was great! Pools were very nice and the condo was nice. The security guys were fabulous they made their presence known and were super friendly! Even saw one of them check on a guy at the pool who had been lying down there sleeping for a long time...brought him a bottle of cold water. I felt very safe even on the beach at night. If I had to find one thing wrong, the only thing was that my bedroom window would not open, which was a little disappointing because I would have liked to hear the ocean and get the fresh breeze at night. But other then that everything was fabulous, we would definitely come back and stay there again!”

“My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Sea Spray resort. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We happened to stay during not so nice weather (had a tornado warning!) and the staff dropped off a flashlight and made sure to give us a call to make sure we were safe. It was extremely clean in our living area, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. There are plenty of beach supplies ready for the guests. The pool was so nice, it ended up being warmer than the air some days! The beach and the village were in short walking distance.”

“I never leave bad reviews, because it feels dramatic and extreme, but I truly felt the need to share my experience in order to help others. For some background, I am a young female who travels alone to Sarasota monthly for work. I booked this hotel with my company for a work trip and got to the hotel and immediately had to find a new hotel. At check-in, the manager insisted my reservation was cancelled even though I had a received a mobile check-in confirmation. The manager then booked me a new room at a higher price and then realized I was checked in for two rooms. He then cancelled my new room and I was able to check-in and get a room key. The room was in a completely separate building with no immediate parking and minimal lighting on a busy street with lots of foot traffic. Once in the room, it immediately smelled of mold/mildew and it was impossible to find the light switches. The carpet was very old. All of the furniture was scratched and dented and the bed mattress had a stain. Let’s just say, I was rebooked at a new hotel in 5 minutes. As someone who comes to the area monthly, there are plenty of other hotels that are much better, safer and cleaner than this hotel. I would not book here if you can stay anywhere else.”

They provide everything you need for a beach day with chairs, towels, a wagon and a cooler. We also took their bikes out for a ride around Siesta Key village. The food options are great and you can walk everywhere no car needed. Siesta Key Oyster Bar had the best food & drinks! We will definitely stay here again!”
