“Stayed there last night. This is a really great park. Very clean and convenient to the I5, but without the noise from the I5. The price was really good - we paid more the night before for a parknthat wasn't even in the same league as River Run. The reception lady was also very nice. Highly recommended.”

Residence Inn By Marriott Bakersfield

“One of the first Residence Inns, I'm told. It's set up like an apartment complex with separate sections of rooms. If you like staying in an apartment-style hotel, then this is the place for you. Also, if you don't like walking outside to the gym on a cold morning, try to get a room in the gym's unit. That gym is quite small. It will be packed when there is more than one person. My room, on the other hand, was very spacious and stocked with everything for a long stay. It was clean and well maintained, but it's almost time for an upgrade. Some of my microwave's buttons didn't work, and I forgot to bring it up at checkout. If you get 1221, ask them about the buttons. The hot breakfast was okay. The scrambled eggs, though real, were dry and overcooked both mornings of my stay. There are many breakfast places in the vicinity if you're tired of the free stuff.”

Stallion Springs Resort

“So this was our first visit and it was awesome. We own a timeshare with another company but were able to use this one for a vacation get away. First off staff is super nice and really friendly. Shout out to Alicia, Martha, and I believe it’s Carissa. These are like little cabins in the mountains. Once you drive through the covered bridge you can see the property. From our room we had a great view of the little lake as well as the mountains which got snow before we checked out. Decore reminded me and the hubby of the 90’s but we didn’t mind, it was a cozy one bedroom with a fireplace in the living room and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. It also comes with a fully equipped kitchen. If you’re looking for a whole lot to do this is not for you, but if you want to relax, unwind and enjoy nature definitely come here. Small town charm with access back to city life in about 2 1/2 hours.”

“My stay was for 3 nights. Overall, because of the clean & spacious rooms, I will likely stay again I just hope their pool and ice machines work. THE GOOD: Clean rooms Nice staff Walking distance to a great restaurant THE BAD: -Pool was closed after the first day and had a huge lock so no one enters. - lawn was dying! I've never seen a hotel with dead grass -zero ice machines worked -Hot tub was under construction -Key card system is a headache. You need one key to enter the building from the outside (which only worked 40% of the time, no fun when you're locked out in 100°+ weather) and another to enter your room. -It was my first time here so I didn't know there was no elevator. I kindly asked for a bottom floor due to a disability and the manager was very annoyed stating firmly that they are busy and can't go making any changes we want... (I mean, it was a yes or no question). Things worked out. -The manager had a short temper, but everyone else was super friendly -sliding doors are very old and beat up”
