“Well, what can I say about Beachside? We simply LOVE this place. The accommodation is great for what we need it for - we opt for bungalows. The views are simply superb, and the beach is stunning on sunny days. The on-site shop and restaurant are really handy too, but we only used them once. We stayed for 10-days and it really felt like a home from home. Would strongly advise Beachside to anyone wanting to stay in the Hayle area.”

“Disappointed!!! My wife I stayed at Gwel an Mor with my mum back in September this year. We was really looking forward to a nice relaxing break. Unfortunately we was very disappointed with our Scandinavian lodge which was advertised as a 5 star lodge. It certainly has the potential to be nice but our experience was sadly not a good one. Upon arrival we went to our lodge to find it was extremely dirty to the point that we had to clean the lodge again before we could relax & unpack. It certainly doesn’t live up to a 5 star rating. Our bathroom was dirty with grime around the taps & shower, the bedroom floor was dirty with dust, decking was dirty, the beds were dirty, the bath robes were dirty with stains on. Plus the pool was closed for one and half days. Despite communications with Gwel an Mor along with pictures to show the state of the lodge our concerns were never acknowledged just brushed aside and told us that each lodge goes through a strict 4 hour cleaning process. It’s sad that our stay was not a pleasant experience as we was looking for a nice lodge we can keep going back to. 😞”

“We are staying at Bodmin Holiday Park in one of the Villas. They are very spacious inside. The one we are in has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A good size kitchen and large dining room/living space. There is plenty of space between us and the neighbouring villa. The kitchen and bathroom and fully functional, clean and tidy just a bit dated around the edges. The overall park is nice and well kept. The fishing lakes are nice to have a walk around. The bar and restaurant look like they have had a refresh recently so we are very welcoming. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. There are plenty of local pubs in the area (we have tried a few whilst being here) that serve good pub cooked food!”

“I stayed in a bungalow. It was clean. The beds were comfy. The manager and staff were friendly. Very peaceful location. I went early October, so not too many people there. The only negative thing was the lack of a chef, so no cooked meals available. Only sausage rolls or pasties were available, which heated up and they were very nice.”

“My partner and I had our wedding at Kilminorth Cottages and it was more than we could have ever dreamt of. The venue and accommodation is absolutely gorgeous! Jayne and Cassie were there from start to finish and catered to all of our wants and needs. All the staff are super friendly and the grounds are immaculate. We stayed for the weekend where we were allowed to have full use of the grounds - tennis court, pool, jacuzzi, Marley bar etc which were all maintained to a high standard. The perfect relaxing weekend getaway. We felt so lucky to have had such a magical venue. Thank you!”
