“Amazing vegan food! My husband and I came here for New Year’s Eve weekend. We enjoyed a delicious lunch platter. The food tasted fresh and was colorful. I used to live in Crown Heights off Franklin Ave and it was SO fun to come back to the area to see Ras there. I’ve been vegan for a long time and it’s wonderful to have more vegan options in Brooklyn. The decor of the restaurant was awesome and color. I also loved all of the hanging plants! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. 10/10 recommend! 🔥💖”

Upon entering, my husband and I were struck by the understated yet unique and lively ambiance, reminiscent of an auto repair garage turned diner, complete with mini electric garage doors as bay windows. The air was buzzing with the classic tunes of '80s rock, setting the stage for a dining experience that was both nostalgic and novel. The food, simply put, was a revelation. We dove into the salt and vinegar aioli with our fries, a first for us, and it was absolutely delicious. The aioli was a zesty companion that added a kick of flavor to every bite. As for the burgers, they were smash hits — juicy, flavorful, and satisfyingly messy in all the right ways. My husband’s burger was dressed with a chili meat sauce that was so good it could have a fan club of its own. The burgers at Frank's Gourmet Hot Dogs were exceptionally tender and crafted from premium ground beef, making them not only delicious but also agreeable for those of us with discerning stomachs. Adding to the charm of Frank's was the owner himself — Frank. He personally took our order, cooked our food and served us, making conversation with every patron that walked in the door with a warm and welcoming demeanor. His personal touch made us feel appreciated and valued, which is so rare and refreshing. Although we didn’t get to try the gourmet hot dogs they’re famous for, the burgers were more than enough to guarantee a return visit from us. If the burgers are this good, we can only imagine how delectable those dogs must be. Our curiosity is piqued, and our taste buds are already gearing up for round two. Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs isn’t just serving up food; they’re dishing out hospitality with a side of rock 'n roll and a vibe that can’t be beaten. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, do yourself a flavor favor and swing by. You might just find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal.”

“This is a weird little hidden gem restaurant. You enter from what looks to be the back of a take-out place and walk through to a small dining area. Family-run with friendly staff but sometimes communications breaks down... we didn't have any knives at first. Grape leaves and pita was fresh and tasty. Falafels were very flavorful. My husband had the gyro on a salad. I was happy to close the meal with a slice of baklava and Turkish coffee. The owner was excited to provide us with "edible" sweet spoons made of cookie biscuit, and quite the novelty. The food was excellent, and the people quite lovely. Be warned though, access to the restrooms are narrow and not for the handicapped.”

Our server Camille was so sweet and made sure we enjoyed our experience here. Lively and intimate ambiance perfect place to catch up with friends!”

“It’s my second time visiting Tomo21. The first visit was great, from the service to the freshness of the sushi – all superb. They also serve complimentary hot green tea if you ask, which is a plus for me since I like to drink hot green tea with my sushi. On the second visit, I ordered the sushi dinner deluxe and was kind of disappointed because I didn’t see much difference compared to the regular sushi dinner, which I believe was better. Also, my server made me ask four times for tea, and the restaurant was empty, so I was quite surprised. But overall, it was a good experience with nice people, good sushi, and affordable prices.”

“I made a reservation for my brother’s birthday. We were greeted the moment we walked in. Our waiter immediately introduced himself and explained everything from drinks to desserts. We ordered some appetizers to share, and it was delicious and filling. I had to try their Croatian beer, which was great! Our entrees were all amazing. The service was excellent too!
