“We visited Goodfellas on our way back to Boston from Gloucester after a day of whale watching. The high reviews and food photos helped our decision to give this restaurant a try for dinner. This place definitely deserves the 4.9 rating that it has! The service was absolutely impeccable! We were greeted the second we stepped foot in the door which provided a very welcoming vibe. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. They explained a little about the restaurant, menu and provided recommendations. We started off by sampling a slice of their cheese and Buffalo chicken pizzas. Both were great, but this was THE BEST cheese pizza my husband and son had ever tasted! The crust was super thin, yet crispy. The crust had a great taste even on its own. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Ranch salad, cheese lasagna, Chicken Broculetini with mushroom tortellini and a couple of slices of cheese pizza. All our food was amazing! This was the best meal we have our entire vacation. This crew works hard to prepare everything fresh and they take a lot of pride in their food and it shows! All our food arrived steaming hot and the flavors were incredible! The chicken broculetini was something you would find in a fine dining italian restaurant, it was that good! We will definitely go out of our way to stop here next time we visit the Boston area! Run, don’t walk to try this hidden gem! Great job guys!”

“We didn’t know that this gem of a restaurant was so near the house but we’re glad we discovered it! The beef kebabs were divine and the servings were huge. Each dish is good for 2 people so expect to take home some food. The Saffron Ice Cream sandwich was a lovely surprise. They also have amazing desserts which we can’t wait to try the next time we’re here!”

“Went here with my cousin from out of town who doesn’t get much seafood where he lives. This was an excellent meal, service was exceptional and great atmosphere. We started with oysters and then went with the Paella and the grilled sea bream. Will definitely go back. Plenty of gluten free options.”

“I live in the western part of the state and have been wanting to come here for years ever since I saw it featured on Phantom Gourmet. The women at the counter greeted us with a smile, took are order and we had subs on the table within minutes. I got a small steak and cheese which is easily a large anywhere else. The sub was loaded with steak, the roll was soft but sturdy enough to hold the mountain of steak. Definitely lived up to the hype BEST steak sub I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.”

“Came for an office dinner and had a great experience. As the only vegan in my group I expected a few small options but I was provided the whole experience of 7 courses that everyone else got. Everything was delicious too. Hope they add some of the items to the regular menu so more vegans can have a great dining experience here because clearly they can make good vegan food”

“We stopped by Mercy Tavern for a lovely lunch. The food was amazing! We were seated immediately. Ordered a Reuben and a Lobster Roll, both which were served with Garlic Fries, and both were delicious. We didn't have any complaints about the quality of food or how amazing it was. The service was slow though, and our drinks were not refilled. The server was pleasant, but slow and not very attentive. But that shouldn't bring down the fact that the food was very good - maybe next time I will just order two drinks at a time so I don't have to wait.”

“My husband and I went to dinner here with one of our friends who had been here before. We loved the beautiful decor such as the gorgeous chandelier and blue artwork throughout the restaurant. The food was also good! We got the lobster bisque, scallops, potatoes au gratin, and lobster mashed potatoes. We were celebrating two birthdays and they brought out two complimentary dessert platters that were gorgeous! The bananas flambé dessert was delicious and so cute shaped like a heart. It is definitely an expensive restaurant but it is fun for special occasions.”

“This place was an amazing restaurant by far. The service there was impeccable. They were so nice and they did their job very well. I ordered the bolognese and it was big enough for two people. It had an amazing flavor in the shredded cheese on top and the sauce with the pasta made it perfect. It was also a little bit dark to enhance the atmosphere and I thought it was very nice. I cannot wait to come back here because of how good the food is and the restaurant. The only minor problem that I had was that the lava cake that we had for desert didn't have the melted chocolate ganache inside. It just didnt melt but it was still very good. This was an awesome place and I highly recommend it to everyone.”

“Dinner was amazing! Maitre d Jerome made sure we had a memory we'd never forget. Wine was amazing. We didn't get the fish but was fun to watch the table service as they prepared it for the table next to us. Potatoes with the steak were amazing. Duck was perfectly cooked. If lentils are not perfectly cooked I can't eat them and they were delightful. The service at LA Voile is outstanding. Possibly the best I've ever received. The staff is fully engaged with making sure you have the best experience possible. When we got back to our hotel the staff at the Hilton remarked what an amazing choice on dinner... we had to agree! Do yourself a favor and enjoy a spectacular meal here.”
