“This place has a great vibe and is what I sould call "casual upscale". As a vegan it's risky going somewhere where you don't know the menu, but the staff was super helpful and I got a yummy paprika soup with nuts, and my partner had the vegan avocado ginger salad (YUM!). Fair prices for quality and location, alright cocktails too. Only problem was that new staff seemed to need more training, but they were still very nice. Recommended!”

“Wow! Bodega really left me speechless. The interior, the music, the drinks & the food - it’s really a miracle to be in this awesome restaurant. I got a pretty cool seat and was able to look at what was goin on in the restaurant and loved the music that was played. My dinner started perfectly with a delicious Campari which was soon accompanied by delicious crispy bread with salted butter. Right next to me sat a Swedish lady who was talking to one of the waitresses regarding how delicious the food was, so I really got a excited. Soon after followed my appetizer: Thin sliced beef with cheese and some extremely delcious sour sauce. The dish really was heaven, it was creamy, hearty, sour and truly amazing. Also the main dish was really delicious. I had some fish, which had the perfect consistency and was served in a delicious & creamy white mushroom sauce. They even brought my extra bread so I was able to get every last bit of sauce out of the plate. The servers were really friendly and made this evening an amazing experience. They also recommended me a very delicious gin from Norbottens Län and a good local beer. This was probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten. If your are close by Umea, you really need to eat at Bodegan once.”

“Very friendly staff in a beautiful spot. I really enjoyed the beautifully decorated patio directly in Umeas city center. The local gin tonic was great ( thanks to the lime), fruity and strong enough. The beers were also really delicious ( I preferred the sweet brew-team IPA). As a starter I had the smoked Bürste which tasted extremely good. Smoky, creamy and a little paprika touch made that simple dish extremely good. Unfortunately they didn’t serve bread with the Bürste (would have been good to empty the plate). The smashed burger was good, had a nice spicy touch thanks to the jalapeño and enough cheese on it. But it was fairly small. Also the patty could have been cooked a little less long. The fries & sauce tasted good, but the dish was a little to small for that price. The restaurant is easily accessible for people in wheelchairs, is perfectly located and nicely decorated. It really makes fun to hangout there. The staff were very friendly (gave me a paper menu cause the website is in Swedish haha) and knew a lot about the gin & beer. I really enjoyed the evening and can totally recommend this place. Especially for the awesome, interesting & local drinks!”
