The ambiance is festive and welcoming, with holiday decorations that create a beautiful atmosphere. “Called in on spec last Wednesday evening. At the time, it was nice to sit outside under the covered area with a heater. Then the storm arrived, and despite being very busy, we managed to move inside. The Chateaubriand set for two was nicely cooked, and we added a portion of tiger prawns. The beef was tasty but a little dry in places. Vegetable portions are good and again tasty. Others in our group had steaks with a side, which was just enough. I can see the cost mounting if you're hungry though. Good choice of cocktails and wines.”

“My husband and I had lunch here today for the first time and were very impressed. The restaurant and outdoor area is simple and elegant and has a warm, friendly, unpretentious feel. Service was perfect, giving us time to enjoy our meal in a relaxed way but staff were always attentive, professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing, with perfect portion sizes that meant we could enjoy 2 courses and share a dessert. We were celebrating so weren't conscious of what we paid, but when we paid our bill we felt we had certainly had value for money. We will definitely return and if we have our chadults with us will probably take advantage of the special 2 course lunch menu on offer :)”

Despite the slightly smaller serving sizes, the emphasis here is on fine dining and creating a memorable night out. One thing to note is the availability of free parking through CPP Roe Street after 6 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This is a nice perk for those driving to the restaurant. In conclusion, this place has been our go-to family dining spot for decades, and for good reason.
