“During my visit to the Fritomania, I found the prices to be reasonable, although although when adding fries and drink makes your ordinary burger in the $15 range. The cash-only policy can be quite a hassle. The burgers were unfortunately below average, lacking in taste compared to other options available in Ottawa. On the positive side, the fries were passable, adding a modest redeeming factor to the overall experience.”

“Managed to get a reservation in their Tatami room for my best friends before they close on July 1st. The cuts of fish on the nigiri were much larger than other sushi restaurants, and very high quality. I had no idea that the atmosphere of the basement area would be so well articulated. Lots of interesting things to try on the drink menu and dessert menu. It'll be sad when they close up but I'm so glad I got to experience a part of Ottawa dining history.”

“I came late and missed the cut-off time for Slices. Ordered 2 half pizzas, Pepperoni and Titto, both were amazing. 8/10. Super crisp, light with very good quality ingredients. I asked for chilli oil on-top, and they said they couldn't. If I wanted chilli oil, I would have had to buy the whole bottle they sell. Didn't like that.. The gelato is very similar to the quality you get in Italy. Pistachio was super rich and tasted authentic. Also had chunks of the pistachio inside. 10/10”

“We honestly had an incredible experience for our first time. They really raised the bar high for sushi standards in Ottawa. Fish quality is incredible and presentation so unique. If you go there for your first time, invest into an omakase, the Chef will truly blow your mind. This is high quality sushi, it’s a treat, and I can’t see a place like this be affordable. This is not average, it’s an experience and worth it. We’re hooked and will make it a once a month thing! Great work Chef!”

“We had a great family lunch today at this cosy little family restaurant. Our server was very attentive, warm and welcoming, the food was above expectations. The place looks like an art gallery so 5 stars for the atmosphere. All of our little quirks found a proper and accommodating response from the staff. I loved the steak with the lobster tail add-on. The desserts were made from scratch on spot and were pretty good. And something I would add as feedback (and this is typical to lots of North America based joints that lack the European espresso culture, I know this is minuscule but still) I ordered a double espresso and got a Lungo. The server was so nice I didn't say anything cause it was a perfect lunch and we all had such a great time. The owner (Bill's son) a guys in his 60s came around a few times and checked if everything is ok, which made us fell important. I would definitely come again, it was a great choice -next time we'll go for the Lobster risotto :)”

“I ordered the cheeseburger combo and I was disappointed. The fries didnt have salt and did not taste fresh - they were soft despite being brown in color. The burger was ok but the patty itself didn't taste fresh either. For $18 I have to say that I’ve gotten better burgers at food trucks - how can you mess up a cheeseburger? I suppose it's not their specialty. Maybe their Asian food is better. The ambiance is a bit odd, either the Asian staff or Asian customers will stare at you like you’re from out of space.”
