“The Hand & Dagger is consistently excellent, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Over the dozen times we've visited, the food has never disappointed. There's a good selection on the menu, without creating decision fatigue, and there's always additional choices on the specials board. The food is excellently prepared and flavourful, with good sized portions. I feel it's well priced for the quality. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you're lucky enough to get a table by the open fire in the Winter months, you won't to leave. Martin, the owner, and the rest of the team are fabulous. Will be continuing to return to The Hand & Dagger. Here's to its continuing success!”

“I ate here recently with my wife. It was a surprise 58th Birthday treat for me. It was a proper treat! I’ve eaten at a lot of Michelin starred restaurants and this was as good if not better than most. The thing that marked this place out for me though was the quality of service. All the front of house team were so friendly, knowledgeable and informal, it made it such an enjoyable birthday meal. We live about 30 minutes away so we’ll definitely be back with friends.”

“My first visit to Calico Lounge. I was recommended to try the Triple Stacked Buttermilk Pancakes. I chose the berry version (I decided to get one of my five a day!), although they do have a version with bacon and maple syrup. The portion size was very good and averagely priced at £9.25. I also had a Mocha coffee, which, at £3.60, was averagely priced. The menu is extensive and changes on a monthly basis. I would come back again to try something savoury on the menu.”

“Amazing experience. Can’t explain in words. The staffs and their service was exceptional. I had lamb chops, himali tikka, lamb choila and many more. It was so so amazing. Everything was so well cooked and was with full of flavors. If you’re round preston its a place to go. It might not be as fancy as any other big restaurants but the the quality of food is not less but even better then so called big fancy restaurants. Highly recommend.”
