“I had high hopes walking into this restaurant but left with extreme disappointment and a bad taste in my mouth. After admiring its fancy, well-lit atmosphere, excellent architecture, and well-dressed customers, we ordered a “smoked old-fashioned” on the menu and two appetizers, fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. After probing about the chicken broccoli Alfredo, the service staff informed us some people say the sauce is a little on the watery side. Once we received the drinks and apps, I was immediately disappointed in the color and presentation of the old-fashioned. The color was of a watered-down fruit punch and instead of an orange peel, one-half of an orange was in the glass along with a maraschino cherry hiding under the ice instead of a luxardo cherry. It was better than most dive bars old fashioned, but nothing I expected from such a gorgeous place with higher-end prices. We were slightly concerned with the astronomically extensive menu, which had everything under the sun from American to Mexican to Mediterranean and Italian. The restaurant clearly suffers from an identity crisis. The appetizers had minimal visual appeal, and that was only surpassed by the horrible taste of burned overcooked, fried pickles, and undercooked greasy mozzarella sticks in a bed of machine-cut lettuce soaked in fryer grease. Both sauces for the mozzarella sticks and fried picked came in cheap plastic containers, had no flavor, while maintaining the quality of a expired BJ’s wholesale product on sale. The bill was 46$, and it was an expensive lesson I will never learn again. No complaints about the waitress, who was very attentive.”

“Had dinner here on a weeknight. Steak tips were very tender and cooked as ordered, sauce was flavorful. Noodles were a little lacking in flavor, but overall it was a good meal. French Onion soup, which I had read good things about, was the big disappointment. Almost no flavor at all, almost like onion tea? Service was extraordinary, Arthur I believe? Seemed our section needed more staff, but he handled it marvelously. Very friendly if a bit over worked that night.”

“I ordered mapo tofu from the vegetarian section and a side of white rice on DoorDash. (I didn't realize that it already comes with a side of white rice, so I received two sides of white rice). Though mapo tofu traditionally has pork, I didn't realize that they also have a listing for mapo tofu with pork under their pork section, and both listings are simply "mapo tofu" (the vegetarian version is slightly cheaper). Unfortunately, I assume that DoorDash doesn't provide the restaurant with the menu section that the item was ordered from, so I received mapo tofu with pork. Luckily, DoorDash refunded me. The menu on Oriental Flavor's website doesn't have this problem, as the mapo tofu under the vegetarian section is listed as "veg. mapo tofu". If you're vegetarian or otherwise don't eat pork and order from their online menu, you should be fine, but beware if ordering from DoorDash. Putting "vegetarian" in the special notes section might work. Hopefully, Oriental Flavor changes their DoorDash listing for the veg mapo tofu in the future. Other than that, the dish was tasty, and I would recommend it if you're able to order it properly. However, I haven't had many restaurants' mapo tofu before, so I'm not sure how it compares.”

“Travellers, we made reservations here for a family celebration and it was a huge mistake. No one came to seat us when we went and asked for help the Maitre d pointed us to a table and we sat down and never saw a server again. They came to a close by table after 20 minutes but the server ignored us. She never came back with the other tables items either. The restaurant was almost completely empty. No customers. They told other folks there was a 45 minute wait for a table in an empty restaurant. When we asked they said they were short handed and the waitress walked off and never came back. This was embarrassing and uncomfortable and almost ruined our evening. After 40 minutes we went to another restaurant, fittzwillys, where we got served immediately in a friendly way and it was great. We used to come to spoletos all the time but this was the last time. The service was downright rude from the entire staff. It was like they didn’t want our business. So our advice to you is go somewhere else because even the reservation didn’t get us service. TLDR go somewhere else”

“I had the risotto and it was excellent comfort food. Fresh vegetables and fruits gave it a different and wonderful flavor. Coffee is also top shelf. Usually I have two cups but their coffee was so satisfyingly good one was sufficient. No room left for dessert although that menu was tempting, maybe coffee and desert another time.”
