“My rate 4/5. It's a small but cozy restaurant. It made me feel like having a meal in a typical Dutch house: from chairs, glasses to plates. They were so cute, vintage and so Dutch. * Food: although they add some Asian ingredients to their menu but it's still very Dutch to me. We ordered Bordje doe maar lekker, bigbanger burger and bavette. The starter was ok. Not bad but not impressed. Bigbanger burger was ok too. The burger was a bit dry but could be fixed. Bavette steak was well cooked as requested: medium rare. Soft and juicy. However, chili oil was not matching with the dish. If the restaurant would like to add some spicy tastes please consider something else. Because the bavette steak was seasoning with sea salt, then the chili oil was also salty so together they made the dish too salty. Mashed potatoes also couldn't go well with chili oil with peanut. For me, it's totally failed. * Service: nice, kind and charming. No complaints. *Price: its reasonable, not so crazy expensive and the quality was decent too. The portions were fine. In general, I think it's a lovely restaurant to visit if you are in Alkmaar!”

“This is one awesome Greek restaurant which dishes out large portions compared to other restaurants and for me value for money. Food was well prepared and tasty. Do not be in a rush when ordering food as that takes time but it had a lovely atmosphere as we were with a group of 8 people.”

“Definetely recommend booking ahead as this place is very busy. No wonder-it is THE PLACE TO BE for a great atmosphere, professional staff and amazing food. The service was absolutely amazing, attentive, explained everything we needed to know before choosing from the menu. Always ready to fill up our glasses and to ask if we are happy with everything. I ordered a glass of wine and then we aksed for the whole bottle however the wine did not taste the same-probably because it was freshly opened and did not have a chance to breathe. The waitress offered to open another bottle with a smile on her face. We did not want it and kept the one that was already opened but it was a good test to see the reaction. The steak was amazing and if you are a veggie like me, do not worry, there are dishes to choose from. So, all in all, if you are looking for the WHOLE EXPERIENCE it is 100% recommended-the best in Alkmaar (so far :).”

“An absolutely amazing experience! The service was super friendly and attentive, able to explain the menu in English and also recommended dishes by our preferences. The seating inside was fully booked so I recommend making a reservation or come early (ish). At about 5 pm there were still places available outside by the water which added to a nice, chilled and romantic atmosphere❤️ We didnt have to wait too long for our meals and MY! The food was absolutely amazing! Professionally executed on the plates, the bruschetta had the softest bread dough I have ever had! The meatballs were a great experience and very tasty! The pizza was amazing-highly recommended! 🍕If you want a bit of Italy in the centre if Alkmaar, go for it! 😎”

“We had a wonderful dinner outside on the terrace of Grenada. The staff did everything they could to make it a great experience for us. Great ambiance- the view is beautiful, the sun shines through until the evening and there are heaters if it gets too cold. The tapas is nice, fun to order a mix of dishes but the combination of the tabla de pan with gambas in garlic sauce blew us away. Definitely recommended!”
