“Unpretentious classic Wisconsin Super Club serving traditional German fare. Visited on a Saturday evening around 6:30. The parking lot and restaurant were full, and we had a about a 1 hour wait for a table. Waiting at the Dorf Haus is fantastic as you can belly up to thr bar and enjoy a cocktail (nothing beats a Brandy Old Fashioned) or enjoy 1 of several in tap German Beers. Saturday night special is Prime Rib, although I had the German Sausage Platter. The platter was phenomenal with a crisp Knackwurst and wonderfully "hammy" pork hock. A definite visit if you are in northern Dane County.”

“all the food was amazing, the owner and all of the staff are really nice. You definitely have to try the fried dumplings. They’re so different but they’re like loaded with some sort of sauce and onions. also, got the Thai coconut curry, which was good, it could’ve had a little bit more flavor though. The pita sandwich was really good though. We will definitely be back!”

“We went here because we were staying at a hotel nearby. We had the Chicken Piccata and a Greek Salad. Beers were Maplewood Fat Pug and 3 Sheeps Oktoberfest. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all very good!”

“This place was awesome! They accommodated a group of 15+ people to sit outdoors. Our group called about 15 minutes ahead of time and they confirmed we could come. When we arrived, they directed us to seat ourselves. Service was speedy and food was really solid. Our group ordered a lot of sandwiches and wraps. It looked like everyone cleaned their plates. I had the grilled fish tacos with tater tots which were delicious. Seemed like a nice indoor space and patio was great as well.”

“One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Everything, the service, ambiance, quality and presentation of food was top notch and without any pretentious service that is typical of such fine dining. Service staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. It was amazing to watch the kitchen staff prep the dishes, and made the whole experience even more unique. They can get busy and parking can be tricky on Saturdays so plan properly.”

“If you're looking for steak, pasta, and other hearty food, Johnny's is the way to go! Firstly, the service was snappy and attentive. Jackie was our waitress, and she did a great job making sure our table was taken care of. The restaurant has a distinct atmosphere to it - memorabilia of Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack line the walls, giving the restaurant a sort of relaxed but classy feel to it. And of course, the food was great! My steak paired nicely with the cream sauce, and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious! Well done!”

“I was having a horrible day on vacation due to issues with our hotel. Without knowing any of this a lovely absolute angel of an employee came around to ask if our food was OK and we sat and had a 15 minute conversation about random stuff. She took some of my stress away simply by just asking a few questions and making sure our food was good. I'd return if back in the area for sure!”

“I'm visiting Madison for work this week, so I decided to take a walk for lunch and ended up here. The smoked chicken wrap was very flavorful, nice heat! The fries were served in a bucket and thinly cut with some sort of dry bbq dusting on them that was also delicious. EDIT: I came back for more. This time with some colleagues. We all shared appetizers and got our own entrees as well. Way too much food, but everything was delicious.”
