“Ship to shore is a decent restaurant to get dinner. The ambience of the restaurant is warm and soft. I tried the grilled salmon with asparagus while my friend tried the lamb chops. We thought both of these items tasted good. If you can’t be bothered to choose a restaurant and want to dine in a nice place, try this one!”

“Le Canard Enchaine is one of my very favorite restaurants. The food is excellent and it has a warm and cozy atmosphere. I had escargot and French onion soup. Creme brulee is almost always my dessert there.”

“Tasty food + beautiful scenery + attentive service, what more can anyone ask for? We were a party of five, arrived at Kingston by boat for brunch, and this restaurant was right there by the water to welcome us. It's an extra large establishment, with spacious outdoor seatings and a sizable team of waiting staff. Any eatery that can satisfy this non-drinking vegetarian gets a 5 star. Everything we ordered is shown in the photos of this review, except for my son's plate of Fish and Chips - he sat a bit far for my phone camera to get a good angle. Although I did not taste everyone's choice, esp. the non-vegetarian options, I could still recommend this restaurant with confidence, judging by my fellow diners' level of satisfaction.”

“I stopped at the Port Ewen Diner during a weekday in July, 2023. I drove in the wrong way according to the signs. It seems like they have a one way in and one way out system. Well, I failed that when turning in quick coming from the north. Between the quick approach to an unfamiliar customer, crossing the lanes and on coming traffic, I failed. I had been to this diner many years ago, but this was like a new experience years later. The diner isn't very large. But it seems to have more tables than you might think from looking at the building. The building seems just right. It is laid out well. It did take quite a while to get service. But they were somewhat busy at the time. But when we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. The food was decent and we enjoyed it. It was basically breakfast and it's hard to screw up breakfast. Yet you would be surprised how many places that I've been has done just that. This diner made me a decent breakfast. And the price was overly expensive. So I wouldn't say this wasn't the fastest meal ever. But everything was adequate and very acceptable. When I add up the positives, they far outweigh any minor flaws I might have seen. So I do recommend the Port Ewen diner. Besides, there are not a lot of good options close by. That makes them more enticing.”

“Really bad service. We were a party of 5. Place was not even half full. Waitress had a very lazy 'who cares' attitude. Food all came out at different times. Waited an hour for one of the meals. Then, the waitress automatically added a 20% tip to the bill. We were all in a good mood, made the best of it. Lousy, inconsiderate, insulting service.”

“Got take-out pizza and garlic knots from here a week or so ago when visiting our son at school. The pizza was good, but the "large" pie was actually more like a "medium" I would get at home (and it was not less expensive). The garlic knots were very good and the portion was also what I'm used to. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Also, the staff was super-nice and helpful, even for the short visit for take-out pickup. If you go here, expect good pizza, just not big pizza!”

“I love this place! I love the building and the design. I love BBQ but more so the sides and not so much the protein however Everything is delicious. It's not on the main street in Woodstock, which I am so happy about. You don't have the constant hustle and bustle. Vibe is great!”

“Clean. Neat. Full bar. Plentiful menu with lots of good options from appetizers, soups, salads, burgers and many entrées. Many local wines in stock as well as a voluminous selection of craft beers, with 13 on tap the day we were there. We were greeted, promptly seated and our server gave us ample time (no, not slow service!) to review the menu and beverage selections. Our meals came quickly and we were able to dine comfortably without feeling hurried. Good food, served well and fairly priced.”
