“Absolutely incredible. All around perfect. Every staff member was friendly, everything was clean, and every aspect of the food was high quality. I can't recommend this place enough. The small town atmosphere was welcoming, especially for visitors from the cities. It seemed like a lot of people knew each other. Our waitress recommended french toast with bacon and she did not disappoint! The bacon was cooked perfectly, chewy but on the verge of being crispy which easily satisfies the long standing chewy vs crispy bacon lover debate. The french toast was also cooked perfectly and the melting butter combined with powdered sugar was mouth watering. Hash browns- also perfect, crispy golden brown and the added onions and cheese really set it off. The coffee came out extra hot, which I love and they offer half n half or french vanilla. Our waitress was working hard but seemed genuinely happy to help. To top our experience off- even using the bathroom on the way out was pleasant. It smelled like it was freshly cleaned and it was sparkling. Seriously an all around awesome experience. I imagine if I owned a restaurant I would strive to be like Jill's Cafe.”

“My significant other and I went there for the endless pasta today (Wednesday). We got seated quickly and our order was placed promptly. There were a lot of kitchen staff (at least 9 that I saw) and 6 tables that were seated while we were there. Our food arrived 30 minutes later (just noodles and sauce). Our waitress came around again after 10 minutes and asked if we would like another pasta choice and we gave her our next order. It was 35 minutes later that she came sprinting out to us with our luke warm food and 2 water refills apologizing. We had no food and no water for 35 minutes. I asked for a box since I was not hungry anymore and she stated, "We can't give boxes for endless pasta." 30 seconds later she brought us two to-go boxes. We then requested to speak to a manager. After 10 minutes she came back to our table and stated the manager was too busy but she took off 1 meal charge. She dropped our bill off at the same time without even asking my significant other if he would like another pasta choice. I am a manager myself and I can't fathom telling my staff that I'm too busy to talk to an unhappy customer. Just a very unhappy and unpleasant experience.”

“We got loaded waffle fries as an appetizer - they were room temp coming out. The Bison burger was good, as was my kids chicken Alfredo, million dollar burger, and turkey club. My daughter asked for her turkey club on plain bread, not whole grain - it came on whole grain. However, overall the food was good.”

“Great service and atmosphere. Food was okay but nothing special. The coleslaw I definitely cannot recommend even though it is supposedly famous. The famous walleye and potato salad were both quite decent though. Broiled chicken was just average. We will probably give them another try in the future.”
