“Service very good! For the food we have no words. Tacos were just amazing, me and my husband had 6 as we could not decide on just 3 and were amazing, great flavours(member of staff recommended them and was the best choice). The chorizo enchiladas melt in your mouth, amazing! And the burrito was full of meat, so tasty! A restaurant you can not miss! Price was good and totally worth it. Thank you ! Really amazing.”

“I have had Simla on my list to visit for sometime but eventually made the visit. We had the Lamb Shank Kashmiri Rogan Josh, which was delicious and melt in the mouth and the chicken Chettinad with a side of the crispy Bhindi dopiaza, veg pulou rice and Peshwari naan. The food was of excellent quality and the service was impeccable. We were served by Abdul who made our experience for New Years Day very memorable. They had made a big effort with the decoration which made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you!”

“As soon as you walk in there is a lovely atmosphere, the resteraunt itself has a lovely feel to it and the lovely smells instantly hit you. The tables aren't too close together so you don't feel packed in. The staff are great, really attentive and friendly. The food is brilliant, presented beautifully and so tasty. I can't find a fault with the place, cocktails on offer as well 4 for 25 quid and they were lovely. Would definitely recommend. The prices are pretty standard, not too steep, the two of us had cocktails starters and mains and it came in at around £80. We will be going back.”

“Summer visit, late review. I ordered from the early evening menu. All the food was absolutely delicious, probably some of the best Indian food in Newcastle. The staff are lovely as well and are helpful with dietary requirements. Highly recommend the mango lassi as well”

“Fabulous couple of meals here with friends and pup in tow. Really well looked after, great food and the dog got a lot of love 🐩🥰 Food is a mix of nicely executed Asian influence dishes and traditional British favourites. The tempura prawns are huge, juicy and crispy, with a very moreish noodle salad. The burger a decent size with goodb"normal"fries and the Sunday roasts really really generous portions with loads of gravy. Loved this place and the staff!”

“Have been here twice now. Both times it is to attend other people's birthday celebrations. The lunch time visit was lacklustre as hardly anyone was there and so it lacked atmosphere. The set menu was £18. The starters turn up so quickly you wonder how long the food has been sitting there. The chef then cooks the other carefully measured portions in front of you. Entertainment is watching people try to toss an egg into a chef hat. We visited again last week in the evening. It was fully booked and so there was more atmosphere. However it is so expensive. Again the starters arrived so quickly. Trying to get the chicken off the wooden skewers is hard and because the skewers are burnt, you end up eating half of them. The scallop shell has slivers of fish in it with a mayonnaise type sauce. There are 3 king prawns each. Small amount of chicken teriyaki and steak and a bowl of rice and bean sprouts. This wouldn't be too bad if you had the evening to sit and enjoy it but it is all done and dusted in 1 hour. They hover around to get you out and to be honest you might as well leave as there's nothing else doing. The entertainment is exactly the same and it's all a bit corny. It's very hard to be negative when someone else loves it but I think it's appalling to pay £35 to virtually have food shoved down your throat. It's either that or eat it stone cold with them asking every 2 minutes if you're finished. It was also very cold sitting by the door on the first table on the right. Give it a miss!”

“One of the busiest places and we were lucky enough to grab a couple of seats. Brunch was amazing. The Eggs Florentine were perfect, soft yolky and covered in hollandaise sauce sat on a muffin. Good sourdough, coffee and service.”
