“The second Vietnamese place I've tried in the city. It was pretty good, although I think I might prefer the other place (Pho and Roll) a tad bit more. Nonetheless, I ordered the vermicelli bowl in the 'pork n roll' style (without lettuce) as well as the black tea mango boba/bubble tea with passion fruit pop boba. The vermicelli noodles were pretty good, and came in a good portion. The price is quite fair for the portion. The carrots were delicious. Very well marinated and the perfect balance of savoriness to sweetness. Crunchy and fresh. The sauce was also pretty good. I will say, it's on the sweet side. Personally, I like my sauces sweeter though, so it wasn't a problem. Decent amount of sauce too. What I wasn't that big of a fan of was, unfortunately, the meat. It was hard and kind of chewy, not tender. Also, the flavor was kind of strange, almost stale-tasting. It didn't take like the maple sugar-flavored meat I thought it was going to be. But, the meat portion was solid. Finally, I thought the boba was really good. I know some people come here just for the boba, and I can see why. It's not overly sweet and has a great flavor. I couldn't really taste the bitterness in the black tea, which is good. Tasted mainly just like mango. And the popping boba is amazing! Soft and easy to pop, great fruity flavor. All in all, a nice spot for Vietnamese sandwiches and bowls. Do not overlook the boba, as that's really good. Fresh and decent prices. Pork isn't the best.”

“While staying downtown for work, I sought an interesting lunch and found Arepittas on Google and when I saw they were a Venezuelan restaurant and the reviews were amazing, I walked here to give them a try. Service was excellent… friendly and helpful! Their menu is quite nice and varied, with empanadas and arepas, as well as many other delicious options. I opted for their Reina Pepiada arepa and a side of yuca, with sides of their avocado green sauce and spicy green sauce. Everything was excellent! The sauces were tasty and the arepa was excellent! Yuca we really good too. Definitely recommend stopping in… Really good eats here!!”

“Extremely cool space, good beer, slow service. I loved the space and the retro feel. They have their menu on VHS tapes. There were lots of games at the bar to play. We went on a Friday night. They had a few vendors selling handmade items and a musician performing. While I normally am not the biggest fan of IPAs (and a majority, like 75% of their beers on tap are IPAs), I really enjoyed most of theirs. They weren’t super hoppy and had some great flavoring. They had the best watermelon sour that I highly recommend! We had mac and cheese, nachos, and a cuban sandwich. They serve food, however, they do not have a traditional working kitchen. The “kitchen” is behind the bar with a single burner, a panini press, and a toaster oven. Definitely good drunk food, afterall my mac and cheese was topped with crushed Cheetos, but this is not fine dining, or to be honest, even a dining experience. Bar service was horrible. It seemed like the bartenders first time working on a Friday night. We were ignored for 10 minutes after sitting down at the bar. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks. They have a line to the bar for people sitting at the tables as they do not have servers. We ended up waiting in this line to get a second round of drinks. Overall, I would give this place another try since I loved the vibes and the sour, but definitely manage your expectations with their food and service.”

Ricotta needs salt and seasoning in order to sing. The carpaccio: eating it with the Parm was required, otherwise the meat was bland The mushroom pasta: yum, though I prefer my papardelle a bit wider and the dish needed a bit more moisture beyond the (generous) amount of butter used on the mushrooms Prosciutto and peas: very tasty but a bit milky for my taste, but my friends loved it We opted to skip dessert and overall thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The space is lovely and the vibe is cozy neighborhood and a rad romantic.”

The parking in the front is really small so you may not be able to find parking. We just park on the street as there are many spots available. The food is amazing, we ordered the crab cake (highly recommended!), mu shu chicken, and a Peking duck. They serve alcohol so I ordered a Cabernet. Overall, it was an exquisite dining experience and we will certainly come again!”
