“I wasn't expecting to have Middle Eastern food for dinner this evening, but when I asked Yelp for restaurants that were open and inexpensive, this place was at the top of the list and it's near where I want to be. Easy. Warmly greeted and seated, I placed my order. A few minutes later, a plate of hummus with a grilled pita arrived. A nice portion and while the hummus was a little thinner than my preference, it's hard to beat the presentation. It's the New Mexico flag! Too cute and a shame to disturb it. But disturb it I did and I enjoyed the flavorful hummus. Dinner arrived a few minutes later - a big plate of chicken shawarma with tender fluffy rice and a light salad. Moist and delicious, I cleared the plate. And I bought a box of rose water Turkish delights to bring home. Not at all an expensive meal and it was terrific. I can see why this place is rated so high. It's excellent!”

The rice was the tastiest. The shredded beef tacos were amazing! The cookies were the best we've had and baked that morning. We will be driving the distance to eat there again. Sarah, our server, was the sweetest and very attentive. The food was amazing. It was my husband's birthday and he wanted trout and all the reviews led us to Martyrs. We were not disappointed. The trout was perfect, the golden beet salad amazing, French fries some of the best we've had. And the desserts are top notch. Definitely a place we will seek out when returning to Taos!”

I got the NM Philly, it was good, steak was tender, however I felt it was missing some type of sauce. You get your choice of salad, chips, or soup. We got the chips and salad. They were out of ranch but the Italian was still good. The restaurant is on the lower level floor of a larger building, so there is no parking lot, park near the double doors of the building entrance. Staff was very friendly, I would definitely go back when they had all options on the menu available!”

Your going to get heart burn from this place. The menu is weird, you don't even know what your ordering, no pictures of what your food will look like. I got the taco plate an it was basically stuff you buy from the grocery store put together. Im like what in the world, because im expecting authentic Mexican food right? Nope this is like going to someones house who is learning to cook type of food. The wait time was long an honestly the workers where just talking to each other and flirting. They are young kids highschool or just graduated. Makes me wonder who the hells cooking at this place. Cause the food just isn't good. The prices where crazy like they explained why on the menus but come on at least have food that's worth it. Food gave me nasty heart burn an i just felt tired and heavy from the greasy food they made. Even the salads are plain as hell. This is like a senior citizens kitchen type food.”
