“The restaurant was clean and has a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick. I was a little irritated that the sever immediately started pushing milk shakes. I understand that I had kids with me but I wanted them thinking about lunch before desserts. The Reuben was okay, the side of potato salad was pretty bland. My daughter had the chicken salad sandwich which was very good and the winning choice out of the group. The club sandwich and ham sandwiches were also described as okay. The price for four meals was acceptable. The 4 stars is for the chicken salad, it is worth a return visit. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying the Old Mill Tasty Shop but I wouldn’t say it is a must try either.”

“This is an old school 70’s-80’s taco joint. These types of restaurants are dying out across the country, but Wichita has its share of them. Their taco burger is one of the best in the city. Crunchy taco doesn’t disappoint. I recommend this place if you want to tour old school taco joints. These places are like the national chains, but have kept what is good and classic with these types of restaurants.”

“Ordered French toast combo with sausage and over medium eggs. Eggs were on the over easy side, sausage tasted like it was sitting under a warmer in a tray for a while, French toast was flimsy. All food was more luke warm, but on the cooler side of luke warm. Had to eat it though before it got any colder bc my server never came back over after the manager brought my food out. Definitely a one and done experience.”

“Wow! What a find! The scoop sizes are ginormous! They do offer a split scoop which is two smaller scoops of differing flavors. That's what I got so I could try more. I had the coffee and cookies and cream flavors and they did not disappoint. My husband had the coffee and dark chocolate flavors and loved them both. The seating areas are great. Nice area with a firepit on the side. Also noticed lots of people coming here on foot. Wouldn't that be a dream? We stay in south Overland Park so this was a bit of a drive, but we will be back! Gotta try some more flavors. I might suggest that maybe they find away to offer a plain milk chocolate flavor. So many people like myself can't eat dark chocolate because it is a trigger for migraines.”

“My mom and I stopped there for what we call "Linner", it's a late lunch or an early dinner. I had a cup of their beef vegetable soup, my mom had a bowl of tomato soup, and we shared the beef hummus shawarma with a side of fresh veggies. Everything tasted fine although I could have used more seasoning for my food. The service was impeccable! The young lady hostess/server was friendly greeting us when we walked in and continued with her cheerful attitude throughout our stay and extended her friendliness and cheerfulness to every customer that walked in the door. The atmosphere is pleasant and I would definitely recommend a brunch with loved ones or get together with friends. They even serve a complimentary piece of tiramisu at the end of the meal as a nice little surprise!!!”
