“What a pleasant surprise. Tucked in one of the side sections of Pembroke Gardens Plaza, I stumbled upon this gem of a Cafe (near cheesecake factory). The way of fresh bread and pastries being made is what fills your nose. If gravity wasn't real I would have looney toones floated in there. The menu is simple and then you look over at the case and the pastries are divine and equisite looking. Thank goodness they don't have the calories posted. I ordered the turkey and jam sandwich with the their homemade tomato jam. Yes I said 🍅 tomato. The bread was perfectly toasted and crisp. The jam magnifique was the star perfect balance of sweet and savory. Matcha was beautifully executed with the foam..my heart remained foamy to the end. Plaza is busy on weekends so parking can be difficult. But that could work to your advantage. Eat the Croccacia and walk it off! Must visit next time in Pembroke gardens plaza. Planning for the Kouign amann and a cortado.”

“I am at power smoothie currently. I ordered a banana strawberry smoothie that when I tasted it, it was loaded with sugar…. When I asked them did this smoothie have sugar they said yes. Didn’t specify that in ingredients …. And refused to make me another one … the owner knows no customer service. This is suppose to be a healthy choice but they are loading their smoothies with sugar to make them taste “good” there was no solution to my problem ! I’ve beeen a customer here for so many years . I am so disappointed”

“A quick breakdown. Customer service - Ordered lunch for $35. The harassed looking manager charged us a happy total of $50. When we politely pointed out the “mistake” there was a bit of Hollywood before he announced a grand total of 45. Lol. I decided to give him another chance before asking him to shove the empanadas we ordered up an orifice of his that shall go unnamed. He reluctantly announced a correct total of $35 looking even more harassed and not looking happy. 😄 The place: Pretty airy, spacious, light and put together fairly well in a nice plaza. The food: Empanadas - we tried both the chicken and carne. Both were delicious as was the meat pie. The shredded chicken platter and the grilled pork with onions platter were both very good and priced at about 10 bucks and change each was fairly well worth the money. Of course that was before the attempted rip off, lol. This place should have been an easy 4 or 5 but the blatant half as**d rip off effort and the poor cover up acting job by the manager or owner was a sad stinker of an experience. I mean times are hard but do not try to cover up the difference by preying on unsuspecting customers!”

“just now NEW I ordered the oxtail with white rice Mac and cheese and 2 mild beef Pattie’s and let’s just say the Pattie’s and pineapple soda was the star of this meal. There’s waaaay too much fat on the oxtail, no meat. 2/10 The gravy itself is well seasoned but weren’t seasoned with seasonings that compliment each other at all. The Mac and cheese taste like it was heavy seasoned I was skeptical on getting it because of how orange the noodles were but wanted to try it and not to be rude; but very disgusting such a waste of money 0/10. My friend’s dogs enjoyed it more than me. I will be only coming for the Pattie’s & soda 10/10 Food: 2/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5”
