“First time visiting Scuola Pizza, and my son and I will be back regularly. We had the Steak Marsala and Chicken Souvlaki. Both were outstanding. The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. She obviously loves the food too because she was very enthusiastic about her recommendations. The atmosphere and decor were interesting and well done. We'll, be back again soon!”

“Unwelcoming policies and pricing issues, leading us to leave before even ordering food! Firstly, the restaurant enforces an unusual and frankly absurd policy: a $3 charge for sharing food and no substitutes. Although each of us planned to order individually, the mere presence of such a rule felt like a direct disrespect to us as customers. If I am paying for food you best believe I’ll do whatever I feel like with it. Just thinking of them watching over my shoulder to enforce this policy was bewildering enough to make us leave with just ordering a drink. Additionally there was an excessive transaction fee for card payments, which only adds to the discomfort of dining here. In today's digital age, penalizing customers for using cards seems unreasonable and customer unfriendly. Lastly, the pricing did not even justify the overall experience. Even without considering the additional charges, the menu prices weren't even reasonable. An omelet for $12 is not great. In conclusion, my family and I were left with no choice but to seek a more welcoming and reasonably priced dining environment elsewhere. It's unfortunate, as we were looking forward to our meal, but the restrictive policies ruined it. Would never recommend this restaurant or any with these types of policies especially to those who value their money and freedom in their dining.”

“I tried Raising Cane’s for the first time this past week and it was great! I was so excited when I heard one was opening in Gainesville and I can say, anytime I’m in the area, I will stop by. Their sauce is similar to Zaxby’s sauce but the chicken fingers beat Zaxby’s by a landslide, in my opinion of course. Their garlic bread is amazing but it’s a missed opportunity that they use normal buns instead of the garlic bread for the sandwich. I’m not the biggest coleslaw person but I’ll eat it when it’s a part of the meal and it was actually really good. Highly recommend this slice of heaven comfort food.”

“Pretty good Asian place in a cute plaza in downtown Gainesville. I’ve also passed by liquid ginger when downtown, and it’s pretty hard to miss the creepy moon statue outside. I figured I’d finally try it and I had a pretty good experience. The ambiance of the interior was a little gloomy, but it was still cute nonetheless. The wait staff wasn’t very quick despite not being busy, but I do not want to hold it against them. I ordered the pad thai and my girlfriend ordered what I believe were the udon noodles with steak. The pad thai was pretty good and on par with other thai or asian places i’ve had across gainesville. I thought it could have used a little more sauce, but the chicken and the vegetables were all cooked well and still tasty. The udon noodles with steak were decent and the steak and vegetables were cooked pretty well. The main dismay was that the dish was absurdly oily, such that there was a pool of oil on the bottom and the leftovers left a film of oil across the takeout container. The dish was still enjoyable, just a little less oil would’ve been appreciated. Nonetheless, I’d still recommend trying it out for anything pan-asian or thai fusion as I believe they have a lot to offer. They also have an expansive sushi menu that I didn’t get to try, so i’d love to try that too!”
