“Outstanding. My general rule is if I do not understand the menu items, I do not eat at the restaurant. This place is one of the few exceptions. It was chosen by my friend at the recommendation of a local. The menu is unique and contains many flavor profiles and items that I have never experienced. We trusted the chef and went with the sharing menu. The chef is a real artist who put together robust flavors of seemingly strange or unknown ingredients that really complemented each other. Dont overthink it. Have a little faith and try these unique creations. This is New York, LA, Vegas, Paris quality food in Glasgow. Plenty of food and reasonably priced.”

Longer version: I've been fortunate enough to go to Koolba for lunch twice, and both times I was wowed by the variety and quality of dishes available. “Recently visited for the first time. We had a table booked. All food was ordered online via QR code on the table. Food main meal and drinks arrived swiftly. Desert arrived but one was missing. Main meals arrived on hot plates which was good. Fish n chips was good, mixed grill was good the steak was a bit chewy apparently. I had a Dansak curry, personally I do make a lot of curries and I thought this one to be not very tasty, and the boiled rice was bland, looked like a microwave pack due to taste and shape, the two small nan breads were very dry, pale in looks and had the consistency of microwave style. I wouldn't order the curry again but think I'd visit again and have the fish which looked good. There was a decent table seated area with real look fire at one end. The table we had was very wobbly and uneven, sorted with a beer mat. Cater for children's meals too. Toilet facilities were appropriate with child / baby changing area. Staff were pleasant when delivering food. On the missing sticky toffe pudding order, our friend did not wish to make a fuss so this was not challenged. There are a decent amount of car parking spaces on site. They have a facility to register your cars parking space, at the bar reception area, which is free for your meal duration. If you are visiting for the first time I'd recommend you look at Google maps to ensure you enter the car park from the most effective direction as this is a very busy traffic location.”

“First time and impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, the place itself is airy, bright and nicely decorated with if you weren’t sure Greek mementos. We had help on the menu as two novices on the Greek cuisine : we went for the chicken gyros, and the sweet potatoes and halloumi burger and a side of mix vegetables in a lovey tomato sauce . The bill came as £36.50 and that with 2 small glasses of wine. Very happy with everything 😎”

It was such a nice way to make a good memory and this will now be our go to restaurant when we have anything to celebrate. The restaurant itself is intimate, beautifully clean and in one of the best pockets of the Southside. Our host Ryan could not have been lovelier, he was chatting away about Arran to my Mum and was so attentive the entire time, walking them through all the dishes. “Truly amazing place! It’s not hard to get a space here since I made my reservation just today. Classic decoration and friendly staffs, go for the tasting menu with the scallop for an extra fee. The snacks at the beginning are great, fresh oyster and soft flatbread. After that, king fish, scallop, octopus.. everything within the menu is super delicious and impressive. Besides the food they also have an amazing wine pairing, the fruity Sauvignon blanc with a feeling of tropical fruit really got me. Also don’t forget to get yourself an after dinner cocktail and a small bite snack. The one thing I feel is not quite okay is that one of their staffs seems to always be in a rush, which would give people a feeling of intense.”
