“Went here for a weekday lunch right on opening. On arrival the shop was a little late to open and not quite ready for service, but only by a 5 minutes. No big deal. The worker was very friendly and accomodating. Very informative and proud of his work. The restaurant was quiet due to the early hour. I ordered a mix of items including fish, chips, squid and sauces. The seafood was very nice and the chips had the real “chippy” quality that can be hard to find. They might have even been hand-cut? Look, there’s a lot of hype about this restaurant, and for the service, I think it’s warranted. Regarding the food, yes, it’s good, but I don’t know if it’s worth going well out of your way for. Though there’s some horrible fish and chip shops in Perth, I think many suburbs will have a comparable (or in very few cases better) fish and chip shop close by.”

Also the waitstaff are so chatty and making jokes, the whole experiences were definitely the top notch. We had Prawn pasta and pumpkin ravioli, shocking, so great, pasta was al dente, yummy, juicy. Ravioli was simple and light. Do like it very much. And the end we only had some ice latte and Alcohol affogato as dessert. Perfect ending.”

We opted for the tasting menu and dishes came at a decent pace with the drinks almost instantly when ordered. Everything was seasoned well and delicious, the dessert being totally fantastic. Highlights were the beef and the ceviche. Luckily we decided to ask our host to pair the dessert wine and it was perfect ending to our Boxing Day dinner. We were also fortunate to be seated away from the very raucous crowd downstairs, so thank you Inka. Loved it and definitely recommend it was some fantastic fusion food and ambience.”

We've enjoyed Palette and most of the other fine dining restaurants on the Coast but Ladybird beats them all with flavor, quality, service and atmosphere. Located outside the former Versace hotel near Marina Mirage, across the road from the Sheraton Hotel, this is my number one recommendation for superb delicious well presented food, and the prices are just right for this quality and the premium waterfront location. Bottles of wine are reasonably priced and excellent quality. Everything is wonderful but the duck spring rolls are out of this world with superb flavor, texture and freshness. I'm not normally a fan of spring rolls but these are worth every cent, and I doubt I'll ever experience anything better. But I love everything here and truly believe their shared salmon dish is the ultimate salmon meal. OMG, the flavours are superb. This could very well be the best restaurant in Australia. 10 golden stars!!”

Beautiful white table cloths which just adds a special extra touch. Took a walk down near the water under the moonlight. This restaurant is just stunning. Will be taking a drive again there soon.
