The gluten free fish and chips was also nice. What stood out the most was the fantastic joyous service of Dawn. “Under rated place with exceptional food. It’s rare in Singapore to find a place where everything you ordered is above average quality. A second visit place for me for sure. The fried bee hom comes with shrimp soup. The shrimp flavour is there but has a good balance and not overpowering like some places. The big shrimp is already big enough for me. Maybe I’ll try the BIG BIG shrimp next time 😆”

“The 6 of us had the CNY menu. Good portions. The loh hei was only done when we arrived. V fresh. Loved the plain Thai vermicelli which was so tasty. The fried sea bass with the pickled mango was delicious. Big portion of fried rice. Pity it was a tad too dry. Asked for the non sweet steamed glutinous rice. Delicious. Pity the clams that day were not the bug ones. Otherwise all was good!”

Their kaisendon is consistently oh so good and they have a plethora of choices for tempura stuff. The chips, generously treated to a double frying session, ended up overcooked and resembling the texture of cardboard. The fish batter lacked any discernible taste, possibly forgetting to acquaint itself with salt along the way. Whereas the ice lemon tea masquerading more as lime tea. The overall dining experience was further dampened by the state of the tables, which displayed a noticeable lack of cleanliness, and service that left much to be desired. In the grand symphony of the experience, one is left to question if the establishment's pricing strategy is a bold experiment to determine just how much patrons are willing to pay for an excursion into the taste of the true fish and chips.”
