The chefs take great care in selecting, preparing and plating the fish, and the sake selection makes for a wonderful pairing. It's one of the better places I've been to in any country and I'll happily come back, despite it being in the far-end of nowhere :)”

Food is not exceptional, but just the Chinese food you would expect: all kinds of meats, vegetables, fish, shell fish, etc. with standard Cantonese or Szechuan tastes. Lot of tables fills the room, so when crowded the noise of people is quite present. Selection of beers is very limited. No craft beer available.”

“Food were ok, the bread a little bit hard but the starters were amazing, we had crispy duck and korean chicken. the sushi was ok (i think they cook the katsu too long so a little bit hard inside). But the dessert was surprising, big portion for 1 person and the taste was good. The place and atmosphere was good, pity it was raining. Also good for family gathering. We still coming back to try another foods for sure 😉”

“The place has a nice intimate atmosphere, it looks not super cozy, but also not like a cheap restaurant. Service is fine, but too formal and minimalistic I'd say. Dishes were described too laconically, for some dishes we have waited too long. The food itself is from 'more or less fine' to delicious quality. In general, I'd give the food 4 stars, but one of the most awaited dishes - lobster, was over-salted. I think that's not acceptable for this restaurant level. For this minus 1 star. In the end, I have mixed feelings about the place. It's not bad for sure, but maybe it's better to consider some alternative if you'd like to visit a fish restaurant.”

“This is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in Amsterdam in a residential area near Olympic Stadion. Currently run by a talented chef, Atsu, who creates authentic Japanese culinary experience for a happy few who join him in this tiny restaurant. The flavors and the quality of ingredients are unparalleled. In his chefs menu he combines warm dishes with an amazing sushi selection. Our last meal consisted of a few appetizers (sashimi, king crab, chawanmoushi, soba met sea urchin) and around 10 types of nigiri. This is a real treat. The price we paid for the menu was around 90 euros which is a steal considering the quality and the ingredients you get in the menu. We have been visiting this restaurant for many years now so we can speak of amazing consistency. Allow the chef prepare his dishes, which can be time consuming, but your patience will be rewarded. Highly recommended for the lovers of Japanese food!”
