“Went here a couple of times over the last few weeks. The first time, I went with my daughter's and their families and the second time by myself. The service both times was subpar. The fried catfish and shrimp on the first visit was pretty good, but the boiled crawfish on my next time was just not worth the time and money. Super salty and eye watering expensive. I've been to 3 places so far this crawfish season, and this place is by far the most expensive and least tasty. Go somewhere else for boiled crawfish. Follow up for owners response. I did tell my server of the condition of the crawfish but it was not until I received my check because she just didn't come around to ask. I also understand that crawfish is expensive right now but yours was over $5/lb more than the other 2 places I visited. Its is really good to hear that you can take the feedback about the service and turn that into a positive thing by training your staff.”

“My wife and I stopped in Houma for a couple of nights and wanted to find fresh crab legs and/or seafood since we don’t frequent the south or coastal area often. We decided on The Fiery Crab. The 2lbs of crab legs we ordered, king and snow, were absolutely awesome. Corn on the cob and potatoes came as sides in the ‘boil pot’ and were just as good. The portions are good, fairly priced (crab is market) and service was solid. Atmosphere was lively and comfortable on a pretty busy Thursday evening around 6:30. We were in and out in less than one hour. Highly recommend this joint if you are in or around the area and seeking fresh seafood. Two thumbs up! Side note: Food lives up to the namesake “Fiery Crab”, we ordered the ‘mild’ crab and it still brought the heat. So be prepared for a that as it simply comes with their seasoning recipes lol.”

I had the Sautéed veal with Mushroom Marsala Demi, which did not disappoint. Veal was very tender… cooked to perfection. We started with a spinach artichoke (OK) & grilled oysters on the half shell. The oysters were tiny, and the topping overpowered the oysters. I had the two pork chops, one grilled & the other breaded. They were good. Sides were Mac & cheese and Cajun potato salad (strange consisinstancy. No potato chunks). My party had stuffed shrimp (too much stuffing but good), onion rings & Mac h cheese; grilled shrimp, Mac & cheese and hush puppies; and fried crab cakes, Mac & cheese and French fries. All and all, the food was worth the visit.”

“I visited Koz’s twice so far. My first time where I ordered a po’boy, a second time where I ordered fried chicken. Two very different qualities of food. My first visit I ordered the shrimp po’boy with an order of fries and blueberry cobbler. The french bread was fresh and soft. Not crunchiness like plenty of other spots. The shrimp were freshly paired and seasoned to perfection. Hand down on the top 5 best shrimp po’boys I’ve ever had. The fries were also freshly fried. The blueberry cobbler was delightful. The second visit was a to-go order of fries chicken, mac’n’cheese, and potatoes with gravy. The chicken was horrible. It seems to have been fried in cornmeal and flour and no seasoning. But the most horrible part was the chicken was burnt and fried in old grease. That’s wrong on every level. The potatoes were clearly from a box and not from fresh potatoes. There was no attempt to mask that. The mac’n’cheese wasn’t that. It was spaghetti with cheese served at a 1/2 cup, maybe less. It was less than room temperature and lacked flavors. The lack of consistent product quality is a big issues for me as a food lover. Koz’s is a spot worth checking out for the sandwiches once for sure. I can’t recommend them, but I am willing to try something else off of the menu from them (I will dine-in to voice any quality issues) one more time. If it is horrible again, this spot will be a no-go for good.”
