“Married to a Mussel lover this fantastic restaurant offered not only 22 different types of mussel dishes but also a great starter and main course range and a dessert menu we were too full to test. We attended in a Wednesday lunch and hadn't booked but were treated pleasantly upon arrival. The building is beautifully kept and provides a great atmosphere for a meal and chat. We took a table next to the window so we could also people watch. The portions were very generous but quality also exceptional. I would definitely return many times and would highly recommend.”

“Wow wow wow, what a beautiful hidden gem. We had the fish croquettes , tuna and salmon sashimi, beef burger and the fish curry . I personally, could not fault it. The fish was melt in the mouth . And it was such a pretty plate of food. Only one slight criticism , my partner said the burger is so loaded that it needed a bigger firmer bun and a stick to hold it together. As it wasn’t easy to hold and eat. But otherwise delicious and hearty. The Staff were friendly and attentive . And I loved the decor in there too. Especially the bar top. And the lobster 🦞 Thank you for having us. We are definitely coming back.”

“We were lucky and found two seats at a very busy time. Everything was cooked beautifully and flavors were bold and delicious. Only downside is that some plates are incredibly small, even some mains. Yes, I know the description of the place says “small-plates”, but three thin slices of fish in the crudo or four slices of miso glazed swede for a 20 pound main dish, even with a Sunday roast trimming, can be surprisingly small. Would love to go back as food was delicious, service was very friendly, and wine offering was up to it, but hopefully portions could be slightly revised.”

“Great little place. Very friendly and great service. I had the American pancakes with streaky bacon and maple syrup. Normally this isn't too special but this was prepared very well. Ordered a cappuccino and it was surprisingly good too. Fair pricing and great food. I recommend for sure!”

“I ordered fish and chips, and to say l was very disappointed at the food portion size would be an understatement, at £19 l was at least expecting to see more of the food cover the plate than the plate itself. Same with the lamb meal at £26. At first, we thought they gave us the children’s meals, but no it was ours, took me less than two minutes and l was icking it out to finish my fish and chips. Way overpriced for what we got. True it was the la carte menu we choose from as we wasn’t offered any other type of menu. La carte is a poor excuse for small. Fish and chips from the local fish the next night made up for the disappointment.”
