“Amazing fresh oysters, straight from the bay to your plate. Raw or BBQ, Hog Island has amazing oysters both to go, or to enjoy at the cafe. The cafe has rustic picnic tables with a priceless view of the water. Service is friendly and fast but guests tend to linger with a bottle of champagne or two, so go early or off peak hours. If you walk up on a Saturday with nice weather, expect to wait up to an hour for a high table. But ultimately, it’s worth it!”

“I’ve tried the Hook Fish location in SF before and loved it, but this location took it to another level. Hook Fish is a sustainable and fairly local seafood restaurant that specializes in entrees like fish and chips and fish tacos/burritos. On this trip we went with the grilled fish of the day burrito and of course some fish and chips. Everything was delicious and amazing! The battered fish is the best I’ve ever had. The burrito tastes flavorful yet healthy at the same time. You also can’t resist pouring some of their unique hot sauce on each bite to add even more flavor. They had a pineapple juice drink that I tried which was also a nice touch without too much sugar. Parking is a bit crazy as this location is super central to anyone driving around Muir Woods but once you find parking the inside is beautiful. There are so many outdoor tables and even a pristine modern looking bar inside. So glad I finally got to visit their other location in the Bay Area. You have to go!”

“Authentic Mexican. So good, you know it's bad for you. Not many places that I've had can come close to these people. They can give my grandma a run for her money. EVERYTHING was rich and savory. I was having flashbacks of family and food. Good times. We have eaten here before and heard they have a buffet on the weekend. We HAD to come back. I think they do it all day!”

“Live salsa band on Sunday is amazing. And the people who enjoy it like me are also amazing. Friendly crowd. Small dance floor, gets hot, two single-person unisex bathrooms from lines when it gets crowded. The owner seems a little salty, but the staff is very friendly, although sometimes they forget about you because they're so busy.”

“Met one of the owners, Hanna, in Ireland and he gave me a voucher for 2 free drinks since we both were from the Bay Area. Came in and met his business partner Abe, who was equally as charming and welcoming to my fiancé and I! We will definitely be recommending this spot to any and everyone we know! The service/staff were incredible and the food speaks for itself. Wonderful dinner.”
