“Ah, the famed Jenny's Shrimp Truck. Though every plate had the freshest tasting shrimp that's naturally sweet and has that perfect snap to the bite, it's in the seasoning where they fell a bit short. The Original Shrimp plate is rather plain, and tastes like simple boiled shrimp. Comes with cocktail sauce. The Butter Garlic Shrimp is a step up from that, though the plate we got was on the saltier side. Spicy Garlic Shrimp was yet another step up, and I would not mind coming back for the spicy variant (though later experiences would prove even this inferior to the real shrimp champions on the island). That's not to say you won't have a good meal with Jenny's! Don't let our picky palate deter you. Jenny's Shrimp is a good bet for a great meal.”

“Guava Smoked is THE place for real deal Hawaiian Barbecue! We were in Oahu for a week and tried just about every kind of food the island has to offer and no matter what we ate, Guava Smoked stayed at the top of our list. The food was top notch! We had mixed plates and were able to try the short ribs, pork, chicken, and duck. All were excellently flavored and cooked to perfection. Mac salad and rice options were awesome and we loved the dressing on the green salad(wish we could use that dressing all the time!). The staff was incredible and extremely kind and helpful. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their business and customer service. It was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had when taking my family out to eat. If you are in Honolulu or anywhere on the island, this place is worth the stop and should be on your list of places to eat. Thanks again for everything! Next time we are in Honolulu, Guava Smoked will be our first stop!”

“Love the place—great plate lunch! Got the BBQ ribs and poke (forgot to take a picture of the poke, though)—both were awesome! The mac salad was good, too (they use spaghetti noodles, which I had never seen before. But still good!) The ribs were bomb—fall off the bone, great BBQ sause that had a great taste, but wasn't overpowering. They guy behind the counter is so chill and awesome. Definitely a place to grab some food and go to the beach. Heads up, it's an order and go kind of place, no room for eating there.”

“The food is so good here. Definitely worth a trip. The service is fast and operates like a diner. The parking is in the lot where Dixie grill is located. The seafood tower, fish tacos, steak tacos, oysters and ceviche are 🔥. They make their own crab spread for their tostadas. I don't think I've tried anything here I didn't like. No alcohol is serviced here. But can BYOB.”

“We're visiting Honolulu for the first time and staying in Waikiki, which we got bored and annoyed with in the first couple days. I deliberately went looking for Peking duck and / or lobster, and found this place. And oh man, it did not disappoint!!! Possibly one of the best ducks I've ever had. You can order the lobster sauteed, stir fried or deep fried - we went deep fried and it was light and airy and tenderly cooked to perfection. I'm a bit of a Peking duck freak ...I just had a pretty disappointing one last month at a very expensive place in Vegas that claims to specialize in it and charges twice as much... but never in my wildest dreams did I think I could find a place that would do both these things together in one meal to blissful perfection. I'd put the lobster on par with Newport Seafood in LA. We ate some pretty elevated and expensive fusion food for several nights in Waikiki but this was the best meal we had in Hawaii, and knocked it out of the park on the lobster and duck. Really great service, too.”

“11/2023 We were looking for some late might grub and had a hard time because all former 24-hour eateries like Zippys and Liliha Bakery close early nowadays. Heard about this 24-hour gem from the bartender at The Row, which was a few minutes away. Nice choice and interestingly busy in the wee hours of the morning. When you graveyard shift contractors standing in line, you know it's gotta be good. Just take a look at the menu. Couldn't narrow it down and had to have aunty taking orders to decide for me. And ALL of it was onolicious! FYI, Fridays are Prime Rib day. I'm just saying you might want to do that and the small tail lobster one weekend. Everything we had was good and hearty. I'm glad this drive-in exists in this part of town for late night, breakfast, and all around the clock munchies! 😉🤙✌️”

“This place deserves more credit. We ordered 2 dishes and they were freshly made and very good. Steamed garlic prawns with noodles was excellent. Tea was hot. Service was ready to take our order the minute we sat down and came by several times asking if we were ready so a bit too eager for my liking. Not a place to take a date but a great place for seafood made Chinese way. Good place for friends and family to share many dishes. I think we were the only non-locals that night so in my opinion, that’s a good sign!”
